NTV News Anchor Harassed By Police Who Called Him A Suspect
Today Nairobians woke up to the heavy presence of police officers littering the streets of Nairobi, thanks to the planned occupy parliament campaign organized by opponents of the proposed security bill that aims at curtailing the manner in which security matters are handled in the country.
As promised the opponents are said to have caused a fracas in parliament and its environs but what is appalling is the claim that NTV news anchor Harith Salim was harassed by police officers who called him a suspect.
Harith says that an Administration Police officer caught him by the neck and called him a suspect along Kenyatta Avenue.
This has caused massive outrage from his fellow journalists and his fans who have demanded for the immediate arrest of the police officer.
Some have wondered that police officers have started harassing people even before the draconian bill is passed into law.
Harith says that he has reported the matter to the relevant authorities and believes necessary measures will be looked into.
