Well not all Kenyans were cursing Kibera youth. Actually some weren’t quick to pass their judgments, they offered divergent views which anyway vexed critics.

‘Unbwogable’ hit maker and current Radio Maisha presenter, Joseph Ogidi, better known as Gidi Gidi, expressed his opinion in regard to the incident in Kibera little did he know he would be stepping on some people’s toes with his comment.

The moment someone dressed those youth in NYS shirts to go and demonstrate in support of Waiguru over the NYS cash misappropriation allegations, the NYS initiative instantly become political. The consequences is disheartening, its no longer a transformative idea for youth engagement but viewed as a tool for the political class to eat from tenders and gain political milage……. “Toilets without food, mavi itatoka wapi” – Kibera Youth

The comment generated a tirade insults from critics who thought he was somehow applauding Kibera youth for a job well done.
