Ojiji, Nokia don’t break the beat finalist, drops new track

Hardly a week has past and Ojiji is already ahead with his music. Unlike most rappers who emerge from talent search contests such as the Nokia: Don’t Break The Beat and disappear never to be heard of again almost immediately when the contest is over, Ojiji is not about to hang his gloves any time soon.

Despite losing to fellow Kenyan rapper, Xcalibar, last Saturday at the Nokia: Don’t Break The Beat finals, Ojiji still raps with his head up high, after all, he was the crowd favorite. He and Xcalibar thwarted the other East African rappers with punchline after punchline, each landing lyrically severe blows to the opponent’s confidence. Xcalibar walked away with the price, so at the end of it all, it’s all good.

Ojiji has now released a new track, showing clearly that he is not in any way deterred by the loss of the contest. If anything, he is still a winner at some extent. His popularity right now cannot be compared to where it was before he joined this competition.
