Online Poets and Writers Meetup

POWO (Poets and Writers Online) will have an event this Saturday, 16th June. The theme of the discussion will be Art & Protest. The event will take place at between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at PAWA254 on the 2nd Floor of Africa Alliance of YMCAs building on State House Crescent off State House Road.

It will feature Boniface Mwangi, an award-winning photographer and activist, Room Thinker, a blogger and Okoiti Omtata, a renown activist. Also present will be veteran cartoonist and illustrator, Maddo and hip-hop artiste, Muki Garang. There will also be a poetry session with Raya Wambui.

POWO is a platform for poets and writers with an online presence, or those who seek to establish one. POWO seeks to acquaint writers with opportunities through technology and help writers maximize on digital tools to benefit their brand. They organize meetups after every two months to encourage collaboration between writers and techies.
