Over The Years…
Over the years Kenyan music has been much of circular music which was blended on Kapuka, hip hop and many other genres of music. The gospel genre was a bit in the dark in the 90s. This has changed in the recent past with gospel music taking the center stage in the Kenyan music industry.
As much of the Kapuka music from the likes of Jaguar give the loudest beats in clubs around the city of Nairobi and many other towns in the country, gospel music has found its way to the clubs and there by reserving there airplay in many restaurants in the country. One may be much more interested to ask the why question on gospel music taking to the clubs and not the church as it were. The answer is simple there beats of the new gospel music has stolen the hearts of the Kenya music lovers and arresting there intelligence and passion long enough.
