Popular Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi Slapped With A Heavy Lawsuit By Safaricom

With 518,000 followers Cyprian Nyakundi is arguably one of the most popular bloggers on Twitter.

He describes himself as “an Activist and award Winning Blogger, a registered noisemaker who pens unique Kenyan banter and has an interest in all things very controversial!”

Well it seems his controversies have caught up with him as telecommunications giant Safaricom has sued him for defamation. This is following a defamatory article on his blog, a 15-part series named ‘How Safaricom steals from Kenyans with third parties’

We learned of the said lawsuit after a notice was posted in the local dailies through its lawyer Ogetto, Otachi and Company Advocates.

In  ‘Part 1 of 15:How Safaricom Steals From Kenyans’ Nyakundi is accused of portraying Safaricom as a fraudster that obtains money and profits in form of airtime from its subscribers through nonexistent subscriptions.

In Part 2: Nyakundi is accused of accusing the telecom giant of  infringing on its clients privacy.
