President Uhuru Invited Akon To Party With Obama At State House Yet Kenyans Didn’t Give A Damn About Him. This Why (Photos)

Senegalese-American hip-hop and R&B superstar, Akon, made his way into the country but his presence didn’t send shockwaves across the nation as it has always done.

Obama’s presence in the country seemed to have overshadowed everything and everyone else. Kenyans are no longer talking about Mzee Ojwang nor did they talk about Akon who arrived in the country almost at the same time with Potus.

The celebrated RnB singer jetted into the 254 to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2015 which also saw other international celebrities like Daymond John among others showing up.

You all know Akon and Baba Ngina are tight, right? There is no way President Uhuru wouldn’t have invited his celebrity buddy to a State Banquet in honor of the world’s most powerful man.

Akon was in State House to party alongside other bigwigs that turned up at the high-end event. His presence though wasn’t illuminated by the media.

It seems Sauti Sol stole the glamour when they made the leader of free world and his Kenyan host dance the ‘Lipala’ way.
