President Uhuru Kenyatta Sends Sauti Sol A Wonderful Message
Sauti Sol, Kenya’s sensational singing group, has been the talk in town for the last couple of days, after they bagged the MTVEMA Best African Act Award in Glasgow, Scotland, beating close rivals Diamond of Tanzania and Nigeria’s Davido.
They made even bigger news when they received that rare invitation to State House by President Uhuru Kenyatta to sing on his birthday.
That has not just ended there. Sauti Sol are in for an even bigger award for the MTVEMA best worldwide act, where they will battling artists from outside Africa.
And this explains why President Uhuru Kenyatta is falling in love each day with the groups musical exploits to an extent that he has himself taken to twitter to wish them all the best and render them his support.
In his twitter account, the president tweeted these sweet, admirable words for the group of four, as a sign of standing with them in the battle for the coveted trophy. This is what the president tweeted:
It is rare for the head of state to send a message directly to an individual, but when it comes, it comes with the seriousness it deserves.
