Radio Africa’s Carol Radull Is Bereaved
The sports fanatic is mourning after the sudden demise of her close cousin and friend, Fidel Castro Odinga, who is the eldest son of former premier and opposition leader Raila Amollo Odinga.
Castro Odinga was found dead in his home in Karen early yesterday morning after what is believed to be a night out with friends the night before.
Speculation has been rife in the air over what exactly led to the demise of Raila’s son, but among those who feel the pinch of losing a loved one is Radio Africa’s Carol Radull.
According to Maina Kageni who works with Carol at the Westlands-based media house, Carol and the late Fidel were not just cousins but also very close friends.
Maina narrates how Fidel dearly loved his cousin Carol and that she (Carol) needs our support at this very trying moment when she is mourning the loss of Fidel Castro Odinga.
Maina posted:
“Fidel Odinga was one of the humblest people I knew. We weren’t very close friends but we checked up on each other from time to time. He loved his mother and father with his whole being, he was very protective over Raila Junior and he loved his cousin Carol Radull immensely. He loved life and lived his to the fullest. To Ida and Raila, sincere condolences. There can hardly be anything more painful than burying your child. To his wife, family and other relations, you are in my thoughts and prayers. To Fidel, go well, my friend and rest in peace. We shall meet again.”
Carol went on to share her photo with Fidel with the caption:
Rest in Peace Fidel
