Ratchetness At Events:When Will This Madness Stop?
Ratchetness is slowly becoming commonplace in Kenyan events from Music concerts to air shows people are putting on their ratchet hat and flushing their dignity out in the toilet
Some say that it started with the RDX concert that saw a few Kenyan girls contorted into various unflattering not forgetting embarrassing shapes b the musician. From the concert Ratchetnss became mainstream and even classy events such as Blankets and Wine became a hub for ratchet behavior. The debauchery at this year’s Blankets and wine even made parents complain about the event considering it’s a family event
And the parents were furious. Here are some quotes,
Stephen Musyoka said, “Some of the women drink more than our fathers and can not cook as well as our mother’s.“
Sam Gichuru said, “around 7:30 onwards expect to see them being carried by friends or in a stretcher completely drunk and wasted“
“you might see some soft porn
It’s no shock that even high school kids are adopting this ratchet behavior. Music festivals last year saw some young girls twerk their dignity away in a n event that is supposed to nature talent. The sight at the festivals would even make a world renowned stripper shy away.
You can no longer take your child to a sports game because you could be subjected to this. How do you even start explaining this to your child?
Just look at that poor kids face
In my opinion it’s about time we press a stop button and end this madness. As much as we want to have fun, we should think about the example that we are setting for the young ones.
The event organizers cannot control what goes down to these events but we can control what we do for the sake of the next generation, this could be your child after a few decades
