SAD: After a 10 Year Battle With a Heart Condition, Famous Nation Media Group and Standard Media Group Journalist Collapses And Dies a Day to His Birthday

Fans and colleagues described him as hardworking and dedicated and his unexpected death certainly left many gutted.

Ngumbao Kithi, a former journalist with Standard and Nation Newspapers collapsed yesterday after a 10 year battle with a heart condition.

After he collapsed he was rushed to Jocham Hospital in Mombasa where he was declared dead upon arrival.

His wife Janet Maghang said her late husband was okay and even dropped his children (Emmanuel Kombe, Maryanne Kavumbi, and Daniela Kanze) to school that morning before his death. Speaking to the Daily Nation, Mrs Ngumbao said he was fine and was taking his medicines as expected.

After taking his medicine, he said that he was going to rest and those were the last words she heard from his before he unfortunately went to rest (passed away) a say before his birthday.
