Sad: Kenya’s Yummiest Female Cop Opens up about Her Abusive Relationship and Getting Pregnant as a Teenager

A few years after the ‘Linda Okello sensation’ hit Kenya, Constable Emma Brenda Wanjiru has become yet another hit with the public thanks to her good looks, pretty uncommon among officers.

She may have become a nationwide sensation due to her beauty, but she reveals that you should not judge a book by its cover as she has been through a lot.

Speaking to citizentv.co.ke, Emma reveals she got pregnant at 19 but two months into the pregnancy her spouse got cold feet and claimed that he wasn’t ready to become a father yet and urged her to go back home, but she chose to stay with him.

Unfortunately the dude really got spiteful. “He became verbally abusive, violent, constantly absent… I was traumatised. I had just completed high school. All I had was a KCSE certificate; I wondered where I would go to next. After the people around me knew I was pregnant, they abandoned me – even some members of my family deserted me.”
