Sauti Sol Fails To Win The Coveted BET Award. All The Bigwigs In Their Category Lost Too. Guess Which D-List Artist Won? (See Full List Of All Winners)

An underdog outmaneuvered continental heavyweights to bag the prestigious BET Award; Best International Act: Africa

Last night, international artists and fans gathered the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California to witness musicians getting feted.

To Kenyans, other categories weren’t of much interest like Best International Act: Africa. It’s in that category that our boys Sauti Sol was nominated.

They were pitted against; AKA (South Africa), Sarkodie (Ghana), Fally Ipupa (DRC), The Soil (South Africa), Yemi Alade (Nigeria) and… Stonebwoy (Ghana).

(In whisper)The last one I mentioned was the one who won in that category! Does anyone know him or better has anyone heard about him?

Did a quick search on him and I found out he is a Ghanaian afro-pop, dancehall and reggae artiste who has won an a prestigious award before; Artist of the Year (2015) Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

I thought his songs on YouTube would have massive views but it turned out Stonebwoy has average views.

Well, congrats him for outwitting continental heavyweights! Below is a full list of all BET winners 2015:
