Sauti Sol Joins the Big Leagues and Prepares To Battle It Out With Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Even Awilo Longomba for International Award
2015 is a great year to be Sauti Sol as the year has been pretty amazing for the talented boy-band. From performing on the same stage with the Queen Bee (Beyonce) herself to ‘Lipalaing’ with POTUS to winning awards, they seem to have owned 2015. And they are not stopping anytime soon.
Last week, the band came home with an AFRIMMA Award and if all goes well, they could go home with a Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television Arts (BEFFTA) award.
BEFFTA is the biggest international award ceremony celebrating black people’s contribution to entertainment industry within the UK and global black community.

The ‘Isabella’ crooners got nominated for the Best International African Act alongside B1, Aar Maanta, Dr Sid, Kidum, Olamide, Davido, Eddy Kenzo, Wizkid, R2bees, Zahara, Omawunmi, P Square, Radio & Weasel, Sarkordie, Tillaman, Timaya and Wande Coal.
Others in the category include: Awilo Longomba, VVIP, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Shatta Wale, Samini, Nathalie Makoma, Kalifah Aganaga and Emma Nyra.
They are however not the only Kenyans nominated as Emmy Kosgei has been nominated for the Best International Gospel Act category.
