YOUNG MEDIA FOUNDATION, is a non-profit organization in Kenya whose main mission is to give young people the tools and skills to make their voices heard. Through Sema Radio, young people speak about their concerns and reach out to their peers and wider audiences about the issues they face.

Sema Radio uses media to reduce poverty by giving job opportunities in different fields in media, and media training. PLUS, Sema Radio gives you the greatest African memories, 24 seven, around Africa, non-stop!
We also create opportunities for children affected with cancer and HIV AIDS and are stuck in immense poverty with small chances of ever entering a school, by our project BRICKS FOR SCHOOLS where we build classes in the rural areas in Kenya.

Beatrice Ndung’u by the way, is the director of Young Media Foundation. She is also the founder and CEO of Global Essense Media where I had my first stint as a writer as well as the director of The Truth newspaper. She has also worked in Royal Media Services, the umbrella company of among others Citizen Television and radio as a radio producer and media creative.
