Sensational Citizen TV Actor Becomes An MP
Having featured in numerous movies and TV series, revered Citizen TV’s actor is set to become a law maker after winning the parliamentary seat convincingly.
Desmond Elliot is now a law maker (hasn’t assume office yet) after clinching Surulere constituency seat in the concluded Nigerian elections.
The Nigerian heartthrob is part of the cast for a soap drama series, Santalal, which airs on Citizen TV on Wednesday nights after 7 o’clock news.
The actor vied for Surulere parliamentary seat in the concluded Nigerian elections on All Progressive Congress (APC) ticket. He garnered 23,141 votes defeating his closest rival who came a distant second with 12,546 votes.
Desmond stars in the Kenyan soap drama series alongside big names like; Gerald Langiri, Lydia Gitau, Innocent Njuguna, Blessing Lungaho, Collins Likavu among others.
Santalal is a love story set in the beautiful Maasai land in Kenya. It follows the life of a city doctor who is recruited by her sketchy uncle to go work in a rural village that is beyond everything she is used to. Desmond plays the role of a prospecting investor interested in striking deals with a county official.
