Shailja Patel Releases Statement on Smitta Smitten’s Sexual Assault Accusations. JOURNALISTS FOR JUSTICE(JFJ) Have it Here for You

The Tony Mochama (Smitta Smitten) saga is not going to die any time soon as it has continued to elicit different reactions from all quarters. It is a saga that has received extensive coverage from social media where it was first exposed to the Pulse where Smitta works.

And the Journalists For Justice (JFJ) body has added its voice on the matter first revealed by Prof. Wambui Mwangi on her twitter account.

Just as it was reported early by Ghafla Kenya, JFJ have narrated how the ordeal occurred and the steps taken by the victim of Mr. Mochama’s alleged heinous act. Ms Shailja Patel recorded a statement with Spring Valley Police Station accompanied by her lawyer Ann Njogu and others.

Smitta had early on refuted the allegations and threatened to sue Wambui for slander and defamation. However, we are waiting to here from him now that it is evident the victim has reported the matter to the police.
