Sharon Mundia…And The Unusual Fixation On The Lives Of These Beautiful,Nairobi Fashionistas.

When Sharon Mundia,a Kenyan fashion blogger,announced to her devout fans that she was finally getting married,it is reported that her blog site crashed. Because,well,thousands were logging in to try and read that internet-crashing episode of her unexpected engagement.

Why was Nairobi abuzz after the engagement of one of Nairobi’s most beautiful woman-If not Nairobi’s most beautiful woman?? Was it because we didn’t see it coming? Or the fact that we lead dreary,humdrum lives? Or simply because the woman in question was not just anybody..But Nairobi’s most gorgeous babe? Whom we’d all been thirsting after? And wishing we had? Or were?

Men,especially on Twitter,Yes,those corridors of idleness,cried and wept and mourned and lamented that the women they’d all been thirsting after has been taken. #TeamMafisi,as they’ve come to be known,couldn’t believe that this gorgeous piece of creation was gone…And that a man,just a man,had nabbed her. Forever…Or so it seems.

Sharon’s popularity started soaring sometimes last year. But she started fashion blogging some less than three years ago. She wasn’t even known in 2012. And even in 2013,her popularity was rather scant. But,buoyed by those very picturesque self images she’d upload every morning,and that very demure smile-that godly smile-and ,of course that inviting attitude and urbane mien,Sharon wouldn’t take long before she blew up. Real hard.

Her beauty was quite the talking point. She,let’s face it,is a masterpiece. And the MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN in Nairobi…At least according to me.

And even though Sharon is actually gifted on matters fashion and style and what have You,her allure was-and still is-mostly in our dreams of her,our fantasies with her and our desires to bed her. Or make her ours. Even for a night…

Even though she sought out to show us just who she is in the fashion world,she succeeded in,invariably,showing us just what a gorgeous woman she really was…What a magnet she was,what an impossibly-gorgeous smile she has and how she truly,really was exceptionally created.

Sharon,it has been said,is a rather aloof and snooty character who has quite a huge sense of self-worth and who can be a real dick especially to those she considers below her level…Whatever that level is.

Sharon,the daughter of well-to-do parents who took her to the prestigious Rusinga Schools and further took her down to South Africa for further studies,is obviously a woman whose seen the very very best side of life.

She’d wined and dined like a Queen…Ever since she was little and,I would guess,that feeling of prestige and eminence is what she applies in her dealings with mere mortals and regular people.

Sharon,I guess,gave birth to these other “Fashion bloggers” including Joy Kendi,Miss Kabati,Sylvia Njoki,Liz Madowo,Mumbi Shoki but I could be wrong as I am told that some of these Fashionistas had been around wayyy before her.

But what,pray,made Sharon Mundia eclipse all these other fashion bloggers and be the top fashion bloggers in Kenya?? What made her rise so stratospheric and so mythical? Why is she the top most fashion blogger in Kenya? Even landing a job at the very urbane and specious Capital Fm? A media house full of fake accents and blondes and posers?

Sharon’s rise and captivation of society-the genteel types-has mostly to do with her beauty,gorgeousness and sex allure…more than her true,real prowess in Fashion. If she has any.

World over,the honchos of Fashion,style and chic elegance are NOT even beautiful. Or sexy. Or even sharp dressers…they just have some odd taste in fashion,some queer taste for what they choose to  wear and some unusual flirtation with spooky styles and innovations.

If You look at the likes of the heavily-altered Donatella Versace,Vogue Editor Anna Wintour,British Vogue Editor Alexander Shulman,Margaret Zhang and probably Instagram fashion blogger Nadia Farifaxx,You will realize that these women are not necessarily Sharon Mundia hot or sexy or attractive or as unbelievably-gorgeous as her.

They are regular women with a somewhat weird look…What isn’t what You would call beauty and some real bizarre look. And as for their beauty? Zilch!

Sharon,I deduce,has managed to capture audiences and ensnare men NOT by her fashion-which I think she does know something about-but for her beauty. Sheer beauty. Nothing else.

Men have had dreams of Sharon a million times…Men have envisioned themselves in bed with Sharon for months on end,Men have dreamed of locking their lips with those of hers every single day…And,despite her chic style and funky outfits,we’ve looked beyond that to UNDRESS Sharona and wish we could bang her. Or grab her. Or lay next to her…Nude. At night.

And unlike these serial,self-proclaimed prostitutes Vera Sidika and Huddah Monroe,who’ve made it clear that they are here to trade their bodies and sell their diamonds to the highest bidder,Sharon has,smartly,covered up her allure..while still leaving it bare. And while still enticing us…Without us even knowing.

Sharon’s survival in this Industry in NOT because Kenyans are genuinely interested in fashion…Or because Kenyans are stylish or even because Kenyans DO actually buy what she endorses and finds fashionable,No,Our fixation with Sharon-and her ilk-is simply based on our wet dreams and our desires to have her. And undress her.

While I do not necessarily find Sharon super hot and sexually-enticing,a million men do.

Even when she doesn’t tease us with her barely-clad derriere and her juicy cleavage,we’ve been accustomed to her “Less Is More” mantra.

Nairobi didn’t crash Sharon’s website to really read the story of her engagement. It was crashed by Men who’ve been building dreams and castles,crashed by heartbroken men and crashed by souls who could not hide their sheer anticipation in seeing just who is this guy who finally managed to steal the heart of,allow me to say,Kenya’s Sweetheart.

Sharon’s allure,I must add,was primarily because she was single. Or made us believe so…All through. And who doesn’t want to follow up on the life of a really really HOT single Nairobi girl? Who looks like a goddess and smiles like a billion angels?

She was our little gem. But now she’s gone. And with that engagement,alooooot of her “Followers” will NOW stop following her. Yes,I said It! I mean,the mystery has been solved…the girl has been taken,there’s nothing to see here…Quick,Exit Building!

But until another Sharon comes along…A fashion blogger whose natural endowment clearly masks her ‘fashion acumen’ by veryyy far,we shall still continue to follow Sharon. Taken or not.

The lack of popularity of other female fashion bloggers lies,in huge part,in the brazen fact that they,even though they’ve got quite the style mojo,lack the X factor..that extra natural oomph that Nairobians judge you by. Unforgivable fact.

Sylvia Njoki is HOT…..And she’s the next Sharon Mundia. Until she is taken.

I don’t know what is attracting Nairobi women into starting fashion blogs…the fact that they ACTUALLY do know shit about fashion or the vain fact that Social Media is kind to the naturally beautiful…And the gorgeous.

A new craze has been born…the fashion blogger craze….

They’re our girlfriends….Till thy are taken.

No one,probably,cares about their fashion nonsense. Probably.

But thank God the madness is over….I think…For now.
