So Women Can Slap Men All They Want, But When A Man Does It, It’s Wrong?

So today’s main focus in the entertainment industry has been the altercation between Zainab and DKB on Big Brother Africa. Zainab apparently took a peek at DKB when he was showering. The Ghanaian comedian was having none of that, and he let Zainab know how upset he was.

 Zainab decided to prod DKB by challenging him to slap her on the spot, and to her shock and horror, he duly obliged. Here is a video of the fight:

After the fight, people have rushed to Zainab’s defense, saying that no man should ever lay his hands on a woman. My question is, don’t women slap men all the time when they are ever so slightly upset? When women do this, you never hear people saying that no woman should ever lay her hands on a man! In fact, when a man is slapped by a woman, the slap is usually followed by giggles from some, and cheers from others. Why the double standard? What happened to true equality? Or are women more equal than men?
