Stella Mwangi is also running a fashion awareness campaign dubbed #VaaKiAfrika where she will be wearing different Kenyan Fashion designer outfits to promote and support the Kenyan fashion industry. The campaign is also promoting the wonderful work done by the young girls from Heshima Kenya ( check www.heshimakenya.org ) who specialize in identifying and protecting unaccompanied and separated refugee children and youth, with a special focus in supporting women and girls aged 13 to 23 years from Somalia, Ethiopia, DR Congo, Sudan, Rwanda and Burundi.
Stella Mwangi is incorporating onto the #VaaKiAfrika fashion awareness campaign, the “Maisha Collective Scarves” which are all handmade, one-of-a-kind, and produced with traditional African dyeing techniques by young refugee girls from Heshima Kenya.
