Swedish-based Kenyan Rapper Returns with Unique Music Project
Swedish rapper Ken Ring is in the country on a unique music project. The celebrated hip hopper is in the country to sample Kenyan rap music. He carried a portable recorder with him to record and sample the local rappers. He is mostly doing the project in the coast area.
The artiste’s full name is Ken Kiprono Ring and was born in Stockholm, Sweden where he has enjoyed his entire music career. He broke into the scene with Mamma, a song he wrote for his mother who died of cancer. Ken Ring has recorded 11 albums to date in a career spanning over 14 years. His latest single is Själen av en vän in which he features Million Stylez.
This is not the first talent-based project Ken Ring is doing in Kenya. The rapper started KRACK, a football club in the Coast, which he hopes to use to launch the careers of his players by selling them to European clubs.
