Taurus Musik and SubSaharan records sign The Afrikan King
Earlier in the day, Kanja, the self proclaimed Afrikan King, became the most recent signee to Taurus Musik. He signed a lucrative joint record deal with Taurus Musik/Subharan Records. More details:
Here are the pictures from the signing that went down earlier today:

L-R: Iyke Anoke(CEO Taurus Musik), Kanja ‘The Afrikan King’, Suzanne Gachukia(Owner/CEO SubSaharan Records)

The Taurus Group is closely affiliated with M-Tech, and was founded (and is currrently managed) by Ikechukwu (Iyke) Anoke – East African CEO of M-Tech. M-Tech specialises in providing radio jingles, managing call in shows, TV game shows, TV content provision and production, Media promos and competitions, Vibedownloads, providing Ringtones –Monotones, Polytones, Truetones, RingBacktones (RBTs)-, Full Music downloads etc. This often places it in close conjunction with artistes and entertainers. They often orchestrate lucrative deals between their clients and the entertainers, sometimes even signing contracts with particular entertainers to guarantee exclusivity to only M-Tech clients. They have become an integral part of the endorsement and download/ringtone monetary streams for artistes due to their big-spending clients across Africa.
Taurus Musik, a branch of the Taurus Group, was founded in 2011 by Iyke when as CEO of Mtech he saw the need to have Kenyan artistes better managed and better presented in order to be able to benefit from opportunites offered by companies such as M-Tech. They have been signing on major Kenyan artistes in various capacities (live concert royalties-international and local, business management, PR/image management, music video principal photography and production, etc.) and acting as a bridge between Kenyan artistes and M-Tech fraternity. Some of their more prominent signees are Camp Mulla, Zambian ZoneFam, 9-con (Kenyan based Nigerian/Kengerian) and Isis.
Congratulations to Taurus Musik/SubSaharan records on quickly signing the Afrikan King, who has splashed back onto the scene with his single ‘E****y‘ two months ago.
Might I be brave enough to add -I think uncle Chim Tuna would definitely concur-, our entertainment industry is finally starting to grow up.
