The Ambience, the Location and a Talented DJ. Is This to Be Crowned The Biggest Party Place in 2015?

Saturday night, holiday mood and a little money in the pocket, what exactly could go wrong?

That’s the feeling I found myself in last weekend when I decided to have a taste of what Nairobi’s night life has to offer. It’s been a while and with the year ending, I needed to reward myself for all hard work I’ve put in. So where was it going to be? Westlands? No, I was in no mood of running’s with teenagers making fool of themselves after imbibing too much of cheap whiskey. Lang’ata? That’s where all of Nairobi has migrated to and I loathe trends.

It was while I was having some nyama choma at Kenyatta market that I got wind of this new place. Being around 7PM, the place was just kick starting with patrons starting to trickle in and music starting to make some impact on the surroundings; the guys on the table next to me had already started nodding their heads.

Some 90’s RnB was playing and thus I made up my mind, I was going to party here. Plus the name Fifth round Lounge coupled with some really exquisite lighting was playing a big part swaying my mind; Looked like a place you would find some Hollywood actor sipping some scotch while surrounded by a bevy of socialites. And the place definitely didn’t disappoint with some really cool ambience and great décor which ranged from a nicely furnished counter stocked with your favourite drinks and TV screens in every corner.

Nice and before I could get wind of the situation, a waitress was already in store smiling and asking to take my order. A black mamba in check and now Aye by Davido was bumping; spinning my head over the DJ booth it was none other than DJ Trancic on the decks. We wrote about him a few months ago of how he was the next big thing in deejaying and if the act he was pulling up was anything to go by, then he’s just about to blow up. And if the place couldn’t get any better, some light skin lasses looking all lovely in little black dresses walked in, hmmmm

Now couple that up with free Wi-Fi and you have a party going on. Especially since DJ trancic was taking care of everyone’s needs whether it was Sura Yako by Sauti sol and some rhumba for the mature folk also in the place.

Basically Fifth Round is a haven for all the sophisticated patrons looking to party and have a good time outside town; simply your local redefined.
