What exactly were you doing with your life at 15? Were you probably some confused kid trying to understand why girls didn’t exactly like you? I was, but not Uganda’s mega star Jose Chameleone. He was apparently busy kick starting his professional career in music.
In yet another session of Coke Studio tales, he narrates his story to stardom and a whole lot of fortune. His struggles, his strengths and even wins which all in all put together complete the man he is. I was specifically fascinated by the fact that at some time he could record songs and closest he got to good sound was a friend holding the mic with a handkerchief on top. And those songs went to become mega hits.
He also talked about his first breakthrough which came as a result of the hit record, Mama Mia which surprisingly was recorded here in Kenya; Ogopa studios just to be precise and there henceforth things have never been the same again.
