The Top Five Celebrity Trends That Have Become Dominant This Year

The year is almost up, just two months to go that is if the El-Nino doesn’t choose to end it much faster. Over the year there have been a few consistent trends among the celebrity community that stood out either for their freshness or the effort placed in them by the celebrities.

The dominated the blogs and news pages and celeb after celeb joined in establishing a trend. Here are the top five trends of the year in no particular order.

1. Travelling Abroad REPEATEDLY 

Before you tell me that this has always been happening, the stress here is on repeatedly and then by almost everyone in whatever facet of the industry. This year has been dominated with celebrities from comedians and musicians to disc jockeys and all major socialites making trip abroad with some doing it severally. A while back that used to be the preserve of the likes of Redsan and Wyre cause of the audience music. Now if an artiste ends a year without a trip outside even for an award or conference….

2. Weddings and/or Engagements

This has to be the year that has seen most celebrity and hyped marriages and engagement ceremonies. From This Is Ess internet breaking engagement to the long awaited Dennis Okari and Betty Kyalo wedding. The celebrities have really had us swooning with their romantic and idealistic marriages and the trend is set to continue with other Showbizz couples still coming through before the year ends.

3. Fashion Line/Clothing Shops

This is another trend that has become so huge this year. Even for celebrities who have had the fashion lines or cloth wear the advertisement, placement and promotional campaigns have just been a bit high this year. You would be forgiven to think owning a clothing shop or line is part of requirements of being an A list celebrity.

4. Riding/Owning a cyberboard

This is truly a new one in these shores and it is quickly becoming an obsession among our celebrities. From Jaguar’s ride abroad, creme`de la creme`to Huddah’s current obsession, the hover board mania is still set to rock this year and still spill over to the next one.

5. Get an initiative or foundation

Giving back to the community has become well embraced with the celebrity community that nearly everyone is either setting up a foundation or getting engaged in ambassadorships or initiatives.
