This guy produced Psalm 23 and Furi Furi Dance

His name is Jacob Otieno, AKA Jacky B. You may have heard artists dropping the phrase “kwenye beat ya Jacky B” in his songs. In a recent interview, he revealed a bit more about his working history. Interesting details were spilled. Concerning his producing acumen, he said:

“As soon as I completed my course in 2009, Wynton House of Music realised the talent in me and gave me a job as a tutor in music production and deejaying at the school. That marked the beginning of my career.

With time, I began recording my own music at the school studio and many artists began liking my work. I only record gospel music and I have had the opportunity to work with the best in the gospel music industry.

I have recorded big hits including Psalms 23, Furi Furi (both original and remix), Press on, and many more. Currently, I work at Lodwar Records, a professional music recording studio, located at Kileleshwa, Nairobi.”
