This Is How Drinking “Amarula” Will Help In Saving Our Elephants!

My primary school teacher used to tell me how elephants would get drunk after eating marula fruits, turns out that the marula fruits are now helping out the elephants.

The Amarula VIP Club Tour is an exciting round of invite-only themed parties featuring Kenyan pop culture icons including musicians, bloggers, fashion designers and models that kicked off in December last year with a masquerade party.

This year’s first Amarula V.I.Ps Anto Neosoul and his radio counterpart Ciku Muriuki, musician and Homeboyz radio host Patricia Kihoro, fashion designer Annabel Onyango , US and Ethiopian based DJs L.A. Dave and Zelalem , got to experience the Amarula V.I.P special treatment at Ebony Lounge, in Westlands.

It was a night of exclusivity as the VIPs were chauffeured in limousines across town to the event venue courtesy of Amarula and Nairobi Rhapsody in conjunction with African Hip-Hop.com. The toast of the night was a performance by New York based Ghanaian Legendary rapper Blitz The Ambassador’s, who had a listening session for his upcoming hip hop album Diasporadical set for release later this year.

The Club Tour is part of an ongoing campaign dubbed ‘African Original’, which seeks to celebrate the richness and authenticity of Africa while at the same time supporting elephant conservation efforts spearheaded by renowned conservationist Dr. Paula Kahumbu.
