Some traffic cops from Malindi are currently a hot topic on social media after their cunning deed landed them in hot soup.

Traffic cops are known to be notorious swindlers reaping motorists of whatever coin they have on them. Some cops are so petty going so low to demand as little as Kes 50 bob from drivers.

Two traffic police officers were caught pants down receiving bribes from motorists by Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) officials.

The incident happened at Mavueni area in Kilifi, along the Mombasa-Malindi highway.

The traffic officers engaged EACC officials in running battles going as far as throwing the cash they had collected from motorists in bushes in an attempt to destroy evidence.

All in all, the EACC officers still managed to arrest them. The cops were found with notes ranging from denomination of Sh50 to 200.
