This is Why KTN’s “Poor Bukusu Baby” is Trending on Twitter

After KTN highlighted the plight of a three day old innocent baby in Bungoma who was about to be killed because of being born from a forbidden relationship; the story gained traction with twitter users in Kenya to see it make the cut to be among the trending items today.

The story send the whole country to shock when they heard about the horrific Bukusu culture that advocates for killing of babies who are born out of an incestuous relationships. The baby was reported to have been born out of a relationship between a man and his niece which is a taboo in the Bukusu culture. Kenyans on twitter however have turned out to be a panel of experts giving their interesting opinion about the incident.
