Tina Kagia And J.B Masanduku Open Up About Their Impending Nuptials

They formed  the dynamic duo on the One F.M drive but greener pastures called and Tina left for Classic 105.

iVix: What do the initials JB stand for?
JB: It’s Junior Box, coming from Masanduku Junior.

iVix: Who is Tina Kagia in many words?
Tina: Haha. A loving tiny lady, radio presenter, a mother, a cockroach hater.

iVix: Have you ever used your humor to get out of trouble?
JB: Haha yes. I was once arrested and I made jokes for the cops… I was surprised they let me go just like that.

iVix: Hosting breakfast and drive shows is massive, how did you land one.
Tina: I was poached haha. I saw this as an opportunity to grow and also help our local music get to higher heights as opposed to my previous station.

iVix: Having your brother DNA and cousin DNG in music, how comes you haven’t followed suit?
Tina: Hahaha I don’t have the voice.

iVix: What do you engage in from the time you wake up till 3PM when your drive show starts?
Tina: A lot. I’m a mum, a Voice Over Artist so I do commercials, I also own a company with JB.

iVix: There are a lot of guys who look up to you, if they wanted to be comedians would you advice that it be their only career especially in Kenya?
JB: At times it’s tricky here. I’d advice that at a point that they’re making a few coins, invest it back to what you are doing and it will eventually pay. Comedy is becoming a big business.

iVix: What is the industry like in Kenya?
Tina: It’s unforgiving, because guys who love you today are the same on your case tomorrow, very volatile and a lot of fun. Definitely a great industry to be in, just know how to handle what comes with it.

iVix: What don’t we know about you guys?
Tina: JB is scared of the dark, scared of dogs and has a fear of the unknown haha.
JB: Tina is scared of heights, crawling stuff and insects, loves animals, and has three German Shepherds.
JB and Tina. We are both very God fearing, he’s helped us get this far.

iVix: Both you guys are among the most humble personalities. So, how do you cope with being noticed by every eye in the streets?
Tina: Haha, most guys don’t know what I look like so it’s easy for me. They think I’m big and all haha.

iVix: Special from a fan, when are you getting married?
Tina and JB: Hahaha. Soon

Tina: Pursue what you want, be God fearing and, when life gives you lemon take tequila hahaha
JB: Seek yee first the kingdom and all shall be added unto you.
