Tough love: Open letter to BBA’s Alex!
Dear Alex…
I read your open letter to Kenyans regarding the vitriol and 2X4s upside the head that you have been a recipient of since you nominated your countryman for eviction and i was perplexed.

Do you really not understand why people are on your case? Do you really expect us to believe that you are that myopic? Tunnel vision affects lesser men and i do not consider you a lesser man. i believe your problem is one of enjoying having a pity party too long!
You should just apologise to Kenyans for betraying them and their cause. Here’s why i feel you just do not want to issue an apology (which would be the more mature thing to do):
Although you have a point that Prezzo acted out in an infantile manner when you were merely relating with Goldie, any man will tell you that you can only control your reaction and not another’s. You decided to be vindictive and that put Kenya’s BBA ambitions in jeopardy and that was tantamount to unpatriotism.
Here, i quote Buddha’s words as i your uncle Chim Tuna impart wisdom: “The right time to show your character is when you’re being pestered by somebody weaker than you”.
In as much as you were representing your own interests at BBA, you were inadvertently cast in the role of Kenya’s ambassador to Africa. What you did to Kenya by putting up a fellow Kenyan up for eviction was a betrayal of everything your role stood for.
Here, to impart wisdom, i shall borrow the words of the late Prof. George Saitoti, “There come(s) a time when the country is bigger than any one man” and by all means, feel free to take notes as i, your uncle Chim Tuna impart wisdom.
And finally, you should apologise to the Kenyan people instead of fighting them because as Ngugi wa Thiong’o wrote in one of his books, “The voice of people is the voice of God!” and the people have made it known that they consider you… how do i hang air freshener on this one… a traitor! *sniff sniff* smells great so let’s continue.
Goldie’s perceived sins were less than your’s yet the Nigerians were unequivocal with their condemnation and she humbled herself enough to issue a public apology! Learn from her example. Know when it pays to lay low like an envelope.
We as Kenyans had declared in your absence that we would turn a blind eye to everything our esteemed representatives did at BBA but once they returned, we would give each their individual 2X4s. this is your’s. Take your lumps and move on. Do not argue with #TeamKenya! As Lord Acton once famously stated, “From the absolute will of an entire people, there can be no appeal, no redemption, no refuge but treason!” which in our case translates to your spirited defence of self being treasonous and unpatriotic speech!
All this is my individual response to your open letter. After this, i hold my counsel close to mine heart.
