Uganda’s youths complain even as ‘Kony 2012’ goes viral on the net
The controversial film `Kony 2012’ has gone viral on the Internet with over 100 million viewers world wide, but youths in Uganda disrupted
the screening of the film in Lira town as they complained that it brought back the sad memories of war.
The youths also accused the Invisible children (the film directors) of seeking to profiteer from their misery.
”Instead of showing how the victims need urgent help after the war, they start screening some whites who they claim suffered in similar wars,’’ said Joseph, who was among the angry youths.
It seems the film is getting mixed opinions even as it gets viral on the net.
