Veteran Actor Honored With A Lifetime Achievement Award

At the heart of our beautiful Capital City, an event that seeked to honour the very best in all things theatre went down.

The event was the The Sanaa Theatre Awards 2014 which was held at the home of many plays, the Alliance Francaise.
Before we get to the gist of the story let me give you a brief history of the Award ceremony.
The STA was an event launched by Tone Communications, an organisation based at the Kenya Cultural Centre Nairobi following the untimely demise of the Mbalamwezi Theatre Awards in 2004. You could say that The Sanaa Theatre Awards is to Kenya what the Tony is to Broadway.

Among those honoured at the STA WAS Raymond Ofula who was given the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award which is given to people who have had an impressive career/ have had various contributions to theater over the whole of their career.
