Veteran Mix Masters, DJ Pinye And DJ Adrian, Reveal How They Made It To Be Kenya’s Top DJs

Kenya’s finest mix masters, DJ Pinye and DJ Adrian, disclosed how they have used their passion to pay their bills and be the country’s top mix masters.

In an interview with Terryanne Chebet , two were taken to task to reveal how they earn make money in an industry that is now congested.

DJ Pinye and DJ Adrian faced lots of challenges to make it to who they are today. Tying to earn a living from an industry that had not developed was next to impossible for the two.

Mixing was not a career they couldn’t rely to feed them; even so, passion and resilience drove them past many obstacles. They enjoyed their heydays with the onset of new millennium that saw a revolution in music industry.

The changes came with their own setbacks, the spin table was overshadowed by the spinning desks, it simplified the mixing process. Lots of people poured into the industry to take up mixing careers and thus the industry was flooded with DJs.

Pinye and Adrian revealed passion rather than the lure of money kept them relevant in the game. They said DJs who are drawn to the game with the prospect of earning money would not last in the industry. The however refused to disclose how much they make from their mixing careers.
