Veteran Radio Host Fred Obachi Machoka Killed by the Internet

The internet sure is one notorious killer. Barely a week after former President Mwai Kibaki was killed on Twitter and Facebook, the social sites last weekend killed another high profile personality.

“The blackest man in black Africa”, Fred Obachi Machoka is the latest celeb victim of internet death hoax.

For the better part of Sunday evening a rumour was doing rounds online that the veteran radio personality is no more.

It took his own efforts to stop the unfounded rumours.

Machoka posted on his Facebook fanpage;

“It’s sad that some people are spreading false information on social media that I have passed on.
As stated above, to the best of my knowledge, I am alive and kicking and I intend to stay that way God – willing. This kind of rumour hurts a lot of
people!”
