Victoria Rubadiri opens Up About Her Relationship with Larry Madowo And Why They ‘Broke Up’

Victoria Rubadiri and Larry Madowo had the most amazing palpable chemistry on Kenyan TV and many felt that there was a lot of love going on behind the screens.

So it was only natural that people thought that the two were dating something which Larry has denied.
During an interview to Ghafla, Victoria reveals just what kind of relationship she had with Larry Madowo.

Ghafla: Were you dating Larry Madowo?

Victoria: No there wasn’t, Oh My Gosh, Larry and I are just amazing friends!

Ghafla: So there was nothing going on?

Victoria: No there was nothing between us. No absolutely not. It was purely professional, it was a friendship based on respecting what the other does and genuinely appreciating how they do it.

The chemistry was just built off of, I like working with this person and it comes off naturally and people want to read into this which is expected and you can’t blame them. Because it’s what they see on screen not outside it.

So why did the two ‘break up’ with Victoria being consigned to Lunch Time news and Yvonne Maingey taking her place on Prime Time alongside Larry? 

Victoria reveals that since they had new anchors on board, the management decided to change up things. Kind of get them into the whole anchor shift. So they broke up some pairs put others together such as Victoria was paired with Ken, Larry and Maingey.

There is no bad blood between the separated pairs, no one is upset and she believes that this move teaches them how to be professional, how to work with others and deliver.

So what does she think about Larry? She describes him as a brilliant mind, as someone who is extremely creative and very spontaneous. Saying that many are turned off by that but there are those who appreciate him as he is. Miss Rubadiri adds that Larry is extremely smart and thinks of different ways of doing things. Adding that Larry helped her come at ease on air when she was still green and nervous.

And the accolades don’t end there. Apparently Larry is incredibly caring, he is the kind of person who you should have in your corner and is great to have around.
So would she date him, we prod, forever the curious cats. Unfortunately she wouldn’t date Larry, he is great as a friend, partner but not as a life partner.
