Wahu Loses Her Dad

On Saturday, the Kenya entertainment industry woke up to the sad news that the father to Kenya’s top female entertainer, Wahu, had passed on.

The sassy singer took to social media to announce the sad news and pay her tribute to her “hero”. On Twitter; “I’m gonna miss u daddy. My hero, my friend, and the most amazing father in the world. Rest in peace, till we meet again. I’l love you always.” And her Facebook page, “Words fail me daddy. I still can’t believe ur gone. I know ur happy and peaceful…but the reality of ur passing hasn’t hit me…I don’t know if it will…u were an amazing father and a wonderful friend. U gave me wings to fly. Daddy.. Even though I know u are now seated with Jesus, I will miss u. I love u forever. I shall see u again in heaven. Rest well.”

Yesterday, Wahu’s husband and fellow musician, Nameless, also paid homage to the old man, “Goodbye Mr Kagwi, you were the best father-in-law to me. Rest in peace! You remain alive in our hearts! till me meet again. God Bless you!”

Among the first celebs to condole with Wahu was former Buzz editor, Adhyambo Odera who said, “You are in my prayers Wahu,may God give you strength at this trying moment @Nameless,remain her pillar.may your daddy rest in eternal peace.”
