What Nigeria’s Iyanya Said About Jaguar Will Definitely Throw Kenya-Nigeria Relations Into Limbo

Last week Ghafla Kenya reported that Nigerian singer Iyanya had weighed in on the beef between him and Kenyan heartthrob Jaguar after the two’s relationship went sour following a collabo they struck to remix Jaguar’s One Centimetre song.

Jaguar had revealed during the Bingwa awards ceremony that Iyanya was disrespectful and that he was one of the artists one would never want to work with.

This seems not to have gone down well with the Nigerian artiste who has responded bitterly, citing everything that led to their disagreement which has threatened to throw the relationship between Nigerians and Kenyans into jeopardy.

Speaking to Standard Group’s Radio Maisha, Iyanya explained how Jaguar never wanted to appear on Nigerian media to market himself and that he only spent time in Nigeria enjoying himself.

Iyanya says he persuaded Jaguar to visit Radio and TV stations in Nigerian to make himself known but Jaguar refused and instead chose to enjoy his time in Lagos.

The Nigerian singer goes on to give an example of Sauti Sol with whom they remixed their song Sura Yako. He says that Sauti Sol were very cooperative and perhaps that is why they are very well known in Nigeria.

He says that the group of four visited Nigerian media and made themselves famous, unlike Jaguar who was full of pride and arrogance.

Here is the full conversation between Iyanya and Radio Maisha’s Tina Koroso:
