While You Still Waiting for Your Perfect Spouse to Come Along, Meet The Hiphop Couple That Spent 2.5 Million on Their Wedding!

You heard it here first, now here’s the evidence. Ghafla team got an insight into showbiz’s biggest wedding this year.

The glamorous affair saw Phoenix Recordz CEO Brian Okemo and Hip Hop Diva Sugar tie the knot at Holy Family Basilica Catheral with the invite only reception party following at Mamba Village Langata.

Brian Okemo is also the first born son of former finance Minister Hon Chris Okemo so it was no surprise that top politicians were among the 400 guests including Hon Philip Kaloki, and Hon Ababu Namwamba who made a touching speech advising the newly weds on how to maintain a successful marriage.

Other guests included Skylux and Ebony lounge director Amor Thige, Homeboyz Director Alph Rabar, Coke Studio’s Buddha Blaze, Local hip hop legends Bamboo, Ukoo Fulani’s Sharama, Nguchie P and Kimya were spotted at the after party as well as TV and radio personality Jack Omamo who also made an appearance..

The cake was a multi-platform design with a 5 tier main cake topped with a sugar sculpture in the couple’s initials and an additional 5 cakes surrounding the centre piece.

After party entertainment was provided by So Alive and Dumbala star Sage, Sindwele star Nessa and Susan Gogosimo supported by a live band. While guests got to feast on barbecue and free Jameson Whiskey through the night.

All this held in a massive tent, lavishly dressed, with chandeliers ,crystal center pieces, red and white roses on black table linen and branded water. In short it was classy.
