Jimwat Wins Court Battle Against Alleged Baby Mama

In a Nairobi court of law, Jimwat was this week found not guilty of child neglect after DNA test proved that he was not the father of a 2 year old daughter.

Jimwat had been taken to court by a one Miss Wangui after he had stopped providing her with child care money for 3 months. Apparently, he had been catering for all the needs of the mother and child when he started noticing the lack of resemblance between him and the child.
He decided to go into hiding and that’s when he was called to court. Luckly, after taking Juacali’s advice, Jimwat decided to counter by requesting a DNA test and that’s what has set him free. Miss Wangui is currently begging Jimwat for his hand in marriage.

Is this Kenyan rock song for real?… Really?

I have heard a couple of Kenyan rock songs from various artistes who are really good at it. I mean, you can actually enjoy their music and all. A good example of awesome Kenyan rock bands are Murfy’s Flaw and Last Year’s Tragedy.

Some other rock bands have been coming up with songs that leave you in a state of shock for various reasons depending on your moods.

This song, Mobilephonia by Jivuhai, for instance, is something to definitely drive you ‘crazy’.

The strides that gospel rapper Juliani is taking are just massive and so eye catching. Don’t you just love to hear this guy’s flow on every song that he is on? He just manages to kill it in every track that he is in, no matter who else is on it.

Recently, Juliani collaborated with internationally acknowledged gospel singer, Anthony Faulkner in this soulful song titled ‘Connections‘. The song is about the love that we share as brothers and sisters no matter all the natural differences. Making it clear that we are all connected is the mission of this beautiful song.

Juliani keeps it simple and Swahili as we know him to be and this is about to become the next big song, both here at home and abroad.

Celebrating harmony, here is Juliani and Anthony Faulkner’s ‘Connections‘.

You may have been wondering for months now about Kantai‘s where abouts. He recently showed up at the MCSK elections with all the other celebrities and looked and proved that there is indeed nothing wrong with him. So, I can’t help but think that he’s just laid back a little bit.

Upcoming Kenyan Rapper Gets Chance to Record at Outkast’s Studios

Upcoming Kenyan rapper, producer and music video director Sanjei got more than lucky when on a trip to check out recording studios in Atlanta, found himself meeting rap legend, Big Boi of Outkast.

Sanjei had traveled to Florida last week and decided to cross over to Atlanta to look up recording studios. Not only did he end up at Outkast’s Stankonia Studios, he found the rapper recording a follow up album to his 2010 Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.

He spoke to Big Boi about his music and he was not only given a tour of the premises, but given a chance to record a demo. He was only in Atlanta for the day and so he was given two hours to put out a product. Sanjei opted to work a deal to put the tracks together in Nairobi and head back up to Atlanta to finish the recordings.

“The studio was on lock down for Big Boi who is working on his new album, but they availed to me one of their three studio rooms to complete my project when I am ready. So, when I return to Nairobi I am gathering all my top producers and we will get to work immediately. God willing, later this year if I get a chance to return to Atlanta, you know IT’S ON!!!!” said Sanjei.

Jannette exposes her booty!

Jannette is now the only housemate capable of keeping the fire burning up in the Big Brother House. Honestly, the rest are really boring and doing nothing to keep us on the screens anymore. Prezzo is all sad because of the loneliness, but we’ll still keep voting for him though.

Jannette on the other hand is maintaining her relevance as she gets crazier by every other shot of alcohol that she drains. Last night was just too much. The things that she did left the other housemates in awe.

She definitely had a lot to drink and did not hold back on the craze. She even attempted to propose to Wati who just played along, while Keagan pushed her away with every attempt.

It reached the climax when she decided to join the boys in the jacuzzi later at night. As she was undressing, she almost pulled down her underpants and in the process, exposed more than she wanted to. Or did she?

Check out the video below.

WOW! Can you believe this is a Kenyan Reggae song?

If I hadn’t already known that this song was done by Kenyan reggae/dancehall artistes, I would have easily fallen to the illusion that this are Jamaican artists.

I’ve always said, if you really have to do something similar to what someone else is doing (in this case, the Jamaican accent), then you simply have to be good at it, or better. Lucky for these guys, they are perfect in this.

I just came across this Kenyan reggae song done by Qritiqal and Mychiqal, both Kenyan artistes, titled DJ Deeskul Dubplate’. The song is done in praise of Kenyan DJ, DJ Deeskul of Code Republic and his works, on the Jamaican riddim, Heart and Soul Riddim.

This is just something else. Listen to it below.

Party freaks called out

Party freaks, this is officially your call to party. Almost every artist right now is recording music with the party themes and approach, getting their fans on their dance floor and their music in the clubs.

Thing is, most Kenyan artistes doing this usually do it in English, like we are already used to, and it’s all good. But honestly, isn’t it just so much better when they do it in Kiswahili or any other vernacular language? Take for instance Boneless‘ new song, Kusunga. It is a feel good song done in the Kamba language is is nothing less than awesome.

Anyway, a hip hop group has now done the same thing. Autopilots have released their new song which happens to be a party song, done in Kiswahili. The track titled ‘Party Freaks‘ lives up to its name and delivers the feeling straight to your head.

Have a listen below.

Huwes Mek: New Track Warns Artistes Against Baseless Beef

Huwes Mek is the sheng word for “you can’t.” It has been a popular phrase among the Kenyan youth and now someone has made a track out of it. The song was produced by O-Mae Basslyn of Basslyn Recordings.

Evano Shezol’s Huwes Mek serves as a wake up call to artistes who have been in the Kenyan music industry for ages but have not managed to make a positive impact or reap from it. In the track, he tries to “chanua” artistes on being smart about the venture. He also asks artistes to stop baseless beefs with each other.

According to Evano Shezol, who is also known as OMWAMI, the the song also tries to encourage the youth to “work smart on their dreams and vision and not on their friends’.” Check out the song–which kind of reminds of Alaholla’s Miss Mboch–below.

Meet The Designer Behind TPF Sheila’s Infamous Blue Dress

This past Sunday, Sheila Mwanyigha, a host on the popular ‘Tusker Project Fame’ show was on the spotlight this past Sunday, and it was not in the most flattering light. She tried a brave choice of dress: a blue, frilly couture dress that was really pushing the boundaries of people’s imagination.

 Here it is:

sheila

Unfortunately for Sheila, the audience did not agree with her choice of dress. Social media soon went ablaze with negative sentiment towards the dress, drawing comparisons between Sheila and some other relevant celebrities:

Sheila was a good sport about it. After the show, she said,

“OK, OK, OK! Dress is in the bin together with the outsourced hair. Laugh a little guys! At least you didn’t have to wear it!”

Want to know who was behind this infamous creation? Her name is Peggy Onyango Archie, aka Peggy O. Her photo can be seen in the leading photo of this article(Click the photo to enlarge it). Kinda funny how she’s wearing a similar dress in the photo.

Her Story: Having grown up with mother who was a dressmaker, she had managed to pick a few tips along the way. This inspired her to learn the trade and to make it her choosen career.

She runs a design consultancy named Peon Glamour, which she has been working at since the year 2000
