Larry Madowo Nearly Swallowed By Mary Wambui!

Larry Madowo yesterday started a new political segment on NTV, and to say it was tense would be the understatement of the year! In one of the most tension-filled interviews I’ve ever laid eyes on, Larry Madowo pulled no punches when he questioned the TNA Othaya nominee about her conduct in the polling stations, her relationship with Mwai Kibaki, and her massive wealth. To all the questions asked, Mrs. Wambui either answered with a very sharp and short response, or she ducked the question completely. Sample this segment from the interview:

Larry Madowo: Why particularly Othaya? You said you were born there, but there are other constituencies within Nyeri that you could have decided to vie for…

Mary Wambui: My people came and told me no, I cannot go anywhere! They wanted me to be there. And that is why they vote for me!

Larry Madowo: … would you allow a public investigation or probe into your life specifically into those aspects regarding your involvement with the Arturs and State House?

Mary Wambui: Me I have never gone with those people in the State House! I don’t know what the people are talking about! I told you, I have never worked with the government. The only time I worked with the government, is when I was a teacher for a long time! So about people to go to the State House, there are some people who used to keep the records, not me!

Larry Madowo: from that teacher’s life, into what you became today, can you please take us through that journey? Because it’s not every day that an ordinary teacher becomes fabolously wealthy…

Mary Wambui: it’s the way, and your mind. The general knowledge in your head, you can become anybody!

Bamboo talks about the controversial Jubilee track that he is accused of aping from Gidi Gidi Maji Maji

Bamboo’s latest track, which is a collaboration with Abbas and Chiwawa has not received much love from some of their fans, seeing that it is a rendition of Gidi Gidi MajiMaji’s ‘Unbwogable’ track.

The rage came from the fact that, apparently, Bamboo did not seek permission from the owners of the track to do a rendition of it. Word is that even Gidi himself is not happy at all about that.

Personally, I don’t see what all the fuss is about. This happens all the time with Kenyan artistes, whether they do it on an international hit song or a Kenyan hit song. Thing is, I think all this hate is coming from the fact that these three guys are about to make some huge amount of money from this rendition which they turned all political, endorsing TNA (which according to Bamboo, are thinking about buying the song).

But enough about what I think, we wanted to know what Bamboo thinks about it and so we had him over for an interview.

“First of all, we’d like to give Gidi Gidi Maji Maji props for that song. Big up for that. What we basically did was give it the ‘election feel’. We did a rendition of that song and the guys in TNA loved it and they want to use it. People do renditions of other tracks every time so I don’t see what the problem is. This song will assist us in the peace campaign,” Bamboo told Ghafla!Kenya.

On Gidi’s rage over the issue, Bamboo says, “He wasn’t happy. I mean let’s just be honest, maybe Gidi thinks that there is a bunch of money being made and he wants to make some of the money. Period. There’s nothing else. Si niwaambie tu ukweli, ama niwadanganye?”

Abbas tells us whether he’ll sue K-Nel, while Bamboo calls him a ‘janitor’

Abbas Kubaff Mchanjama is still on the K-Nel beef. if you are not familiar with the man K-Nel yet, he is the dude that apparently ripped off Abbas and other rappers after failing to pay them as promised on completion of a concert he had organised.

At some point, Abbas was really pissed off about all these that he was even ready to sue this ‘rapper’, who he now refers to as an impostor and conman.

We got in touch with Abbas Kubaff for our latest interview and got to know whether or not he is still going through with the law suit.

“I’m not going to sue him. For just Sh. 60, 000? First of all I’ll have to spend like Sh. 100, 000 on my lawyer and I don’t think he has enough money to pay any artiste so I don’t think suing him will help me,” Abbas told Ghafla!Kenya.

Abbas’ music partner, Bamboo on the other hand had this to say, “I don’t know that guy. He works at JAVA. I think he’s a janitor.”

Get the whole story in the interview below.

PLO Lumumba Prepares Food On National TV (video)

PLO Lumumba is best known for his uncanny ability to move crowds with his gift of gab. A lawyer by profession, the renowned orator has served as High Court advocate in Kenya and Tanzania and the highlight of career was when he was appointed to head the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (now Ethics and Corruption Commission). That aside, PLO is a family: a father of two, the lawyer is also very good at cooking.

He recently appeared on Kiss TV’s “Dads Can Cook” show and demonstrated his cooking skills. Dads Can Cook is a Kenyan Reality TV Show and a conception of Dreamcatcher Productions Ltd. It brings busy and successful CEOs, Media Moguls, Entrepreneurs and Sportsmen into the kitchen to cook a meal for their families.

Check out PLO preparing food below;

And now, this popular rapper is charging Sh. 10, 000 for any collaboration

Just recently, willy Paul put a price on his hit making ability. He declared that he will now henceforth be charging Sh. 100, 000 for any collaboration that he will be doing. Some of the money will however be going to charity and other selfless projects.

Now, other artistes have begun following suit and are now raising their standards.

Rapper Khaligraph Jones, who has been doing collaborations all over the music industry has now also put a price to his paraglastic flow. The smooth lyrics rapper is now officially charging Sh, 10, 000 for any collaboration.

“I know I’m not Juliani, neither am I Nonini or even Willy Paul in terms of fame, but I got a price as I too have some little fame. For every collabo I record, I am putting a price at Sh. 10, 000. Hip hop is no longer a hobby for me, but a profession,” Khaligraph Jones updated on his facebook wall.

Wonder who’s next in line and how much he/she will be charging for collaborations…

You Thought Suzanna Owiyo Was Luopean Enough? Think Again…

You know the Harpic commercial that singer-songwriter Suzanna Owiyo headlined? Good, now some Kenyan online re-enacted the ad and put former KACC’s CEO PLO Lumumba in place of the lady who Suzanna tries to convince to buy Harpic in the real advert. From the conversation, however, PLO appears to be more “Luopean” than Suzanna. Take a look;

PLO: (opening the door) Shalom visitor? Am of the opinion, without any shadow of a doubt, that your generic name is Suzanna and your specific name is Owiyo? Do you second that opinion?

Suzanna: Yeah..

PLO: Eureka! In his book ‘fathoms of justice’, Oyedepo Oluchemi verbosed a literary adage-you don’t interrogate acquaintances at your door, i agree. Please, grace the internals of my humble domiciliary…

Suzanna: Thank you

PLO: What can i get you? my domestic bar is blessed with assorted beverages of sufficient, negligible or nil alcoholic content.
All you have to do is excommunicate the plea from your mouth.

Suzanna: No thank you, actually i brought you something. Have you ever used harpic?

PLO: Your question is bereft of precision in ideology. And ooh i repeat to you just like Moses of old to the hard-hearted pharaoh, you cannot respond to a plasmodium carrying insect bite with a sledge hummer. And
therefore i poise, are you orienting to the detoxifiers in my lavatory?

Suzanna: Yes, your toilet.

PLO: Well nay, i havent prejudiced your product’s competitors to the advantage of harpic(havent used
harpic).

Suzanna: uhm okay! Meaning you haven’t used it?

PLO: precisely, but i wouldnt mind its usage.

Suzanna: Can I see your toilet?

PLO: Probable…

Suzanna: Well with harpic, all you have to do is…………

(10min later)

PLO: hmm I haven’t laid my visuals on such instantaneous detoxifying capabilities since time immemorial. Oooh the forest may change but the monkey of old nay! I have individuals in this house with severe bowel incontinence, we will thus embrace harpic…

Jaguar to throw a huge party at his SH. 11M home

Actions that make strong statements shall always remain deep within the minds of many. Not easily forgotten.

Jaguar is no longer just another one of Kenya’s rappers. He is but one of the biggest and richest Kenyan rappers. Not forgotten among the highest in rank and stats, as well as respect all across the field, be it music industry, politics, you name it. He no longer looks for shows, shows look desperately for him.

When you posses such a kind of status, your lifestyle also makes a huge and admirable statement. This self made man has earned his wealth through sheer hard work, not only in his music, but also in other businesses that have now grown to earn him millions of Kenyan Shillings. His competitors and rivals have now settled on the bench, as spectators.

Having purchased a house for Sh. 11M  just recently, Jaguar is now planning to have a house warming party like is the custom, as reported by Pulse Magazine.

This however will not be a simple house warming party. We might just as well call it a ball. Way back, having a ball at your mansion symbolized power, respect and ofcourse, wealth. This often raised the rank in respect of the locals and subjects, to the host.

So, jaguar will be inviting friends, celebrities and Showbiz Media to the house warming party.

“Everything is now set. I want my friends to come and celebrate my success. It won’t be a show off party, but rather a thanksgiving affair that I believe will be an inspiration to other singers who borrow from my humble beginnings,” Jaguar told Pulse Magazine.

How Watching This Nonini Video Contributes to People Living with Albinism

Nonini’s Colour Kwa Face project is an initiative that aims to provide assistance to people living with albinism. The track that the campaigned spawned from won two Kisima awards, including Best Video.

Now, for every view the Colour Kwa Face video gets on YouTube, the Money generated goes towards the Colour Kwa Face Campaign to buy sunscreen lotions for persons living with albinism and cannot afford them.

Speaking to Ghafla!’s Majani, he said, “You know we have to do our part in this universe and everything should not be motivated by money. As long as I pass the message that we all should embrace and celebrate our differences, that’s my satisfaction. I want to see adverts with persons living with albinism and disabilities because they are able to do what other people do.”

10 Most Pirated Movies Of All Time

8. (tie) “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” (2007)

Disney Enterprises, Inc.

Pirated 14 million times

“Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” is the third film in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. It was released in 2007 and became the highest-grossing film of the year, with a worldwide box office gross of over $963 million.

The story of Captain Jack Sparrow and his seafaring brigands was hugely popular, as the box office numbers suggest. It was also popular with the illegal downloading community, which downloaded it illegally 14 million times.

8. (tie) “The Incredible Hulk” (2008)

Universal Pictures

Pirated 14 million times

“The Incredible Hulk” was the second movie about the enraged green monster in the franchise, following Ang Lee’s 2003 “Hulk,” which received poor reviews and disappointing box office receipts. The 2008 attempt was meant to reboot both the character and his commercial prospects.

“The Incredible Hulk” did only marginally better than its $245 million predecessor, earning a worldwide box office gross of over $263 million. Maybe moviegoers had Hulk fatigue, or maybe the 14 million copies that were illegally downloaded made people watch it at home, instead of “hulking out” at the multiplex.

8. (tie) “The Departed” (2006)

Warner Bros. Pictures

Pirated 14 million times

The director Martin Scorsese has made many classic American films, such as “Taxi Driver” and “GoodFellas,” all of which brought him more critical raves than box office success. That changed in 2006 when he released “The Departed,” a crime saga that grossed $290 million at the worldwide box office, far outpacing any other of his films.

In addition to the relatively high box office take, it also netted the director his first Oscars—for Best Picture and Best Director. The film was illegally downloaded 14 million times.

7. “Kick-Ass” (2010)

Marv Films | Lionsgate

Pirated 15 million times

“Kick-Ass” is a 2010 superhero comedy based on the comic book of the same name. Sixty-six other films beat its $48 million domestic box office take that year, including such commercial juggernauts as “Hot Tub Time Machine” and “Dinner for Schmucks,” and it only managed $96 million in ticket sales worldwide.

The piracy front was another story entirely, as the film was illegally downloaded 15 million times. The upside of the repeated piracy may be that the film has since become a cult favorite, and a sequel is now planned for 2013.

6. “Star Trek” (2009)

Paramount Pictures

Pirated 16 million times

There are few franchises, televised, cinematic or otherwise, that have been rebooted as many times as “Star Trek.” Since its humble beginnings as a television series in 1966, it’s been used for six different TV shows, 10 movies with two different casts released between 1979 and 2002, and another cinematic makeover in 2009, courtesy of J.J. Abrams.

The 2009 version breathed new life into an ailing franchise and took in $386 million at the worldwide box office, earnings that hopelessly outpaced any other film in the series. It was illegally downloaded 16 million times.

5. “The Hangover” (2009)

Warner Bros. Pictures

Pirated 17 million times

The comedy “The Hangover” was the raunchy surprise hit of 2009. The tale of four men struggling to remember a bachelor party gone horribly wrong resonated with audiences and earned $467 million in worldwide ticket sales.

The movie was illegally downloaded 17 million times, allowing home viewers to watch it over and over again. After all, who wouldn’t want to have regular access to footage of disgraced former boxer Mike Tyson singing Phil Collins songs?

4. “Inception” (2010)

Warner Bros. Pictures

Pirated 18 million times

In 2010, director Christopher Nolan took a detour from his “Dark Knight” trilogy to make “Inception.” Part action movie, part heist caper and part science fiction thriller, the film was a huge commercial success, earning $825 million at the box office and solidifying Nolan’s status as a bravura filmmaker.

2. (tie) “Transformers” (2007)

DreamWorks LLC | Paramount Pictures

Pirated 19 million times

The science fiction film “Transformers” was released in 2007. It received a lukewarm critical reception, with The Chicago Reader calling it a “gigantic commercial for Hasbro.”

The movie was more warmly received at the worldwide box office, where it earned $710 million. It has gone on to spawn two sequels and has been illegally downloaded 19 million times.

2. (tie) “The Dark Knight” (2008)

Warner Bros. Pictures

Pirated 19 million times

“The Dark Knight” is the second film in director Nolan’s trilogy of “Batman” movies. A battle royale between the Caped Crusader and a sociopathic criminal known as the Joker, the movie featured one of the last performances of actor Heath Ledger, who died during post-production.

The film was released to critical raves and monstrous box office receipts, and went on to earn over $1 billion at the box office. It is currently the 12th-highest grossing film of all time, and it has been illegally downloaded 19 million times.

1. “Avatar” (2009)

Twentieth Century Fox

Pirated 21 million times

Twelve years after the release of “Titanic,” Oscar-winning director James Cameron returned to movie theaters with the science-fiction epic “Avatar.” Many people wondered if the new film could ever hope to match the success of “Titanic,” which at the time was the highest-grossing film ever made.

Amazingly, “Avatar” surpassed the worldwide box office receipts of its predecessor, raking in $2.8 billion and becoming the newest box-office king of the world. It also went on to become the king of the illegally downloaded films.

I just had to share this picture of a girl who looks exactly like Huddah Monroe chilling out with Akon as they catch a ride on a carriage. And actually, i got this photo from a site called Ibishya which is not even in English! The power of the internets! Aye indeed, those damn internets!

Gospel DJ Sadic Talks About The Person He Admires Most

He is undoubtedly one of the top gospel deejays in the country. I recently had a sit-down with him and sought to find out who inspires him to excel in what he does. The mix genius did not hesitate to reveal his role model. Pointing out that when he started out he drew his inspiration from SpinRej’s DJ Nevs and K-Krew’s DJ Moz, DJ Sadic now says that he admires Epic Nation’s DJ Crème.

Asked why he draws inspiration from a secular artiste, the soft-spoken deejay said that he admires Crème’s hustle and hardwork adding that deejaying is all about skill whether one is a Gospel or secular artiste. Having known Crème for some time, Sadic acknowledges that Crème’s game has immensely grown from when he started out effectively terming him a “game-changer” and that he admires his work.

DJ Sadic also pays tribute to fellow Gospel deejay, System Unit’s, DJ Mo standing by him ever since they started out at SpinRej terming “very creative” at what he does. Check out the interview below to find out more about DJ Sadic;

Abbas and Bamboo tell us what almost got them physical with Octopizzo

A couple of months ago, Abbas and Bamboo almost exchanged blows with Octopizzo at our investors’ (88MPH) launch of the all the Mdundo music scratch cards which is set to boost musicians’ revenue.

Tension was felt when Bamboo, apparently, sent one of his friends to take a photo of Octopizzo who was at that time talking with Jackson Irungu (from Tusker Project Fame 2 and 3). Thing is, this guy Jackson Irungu popularly known as Miss Jay, is openly gay. Now, Bamboo and Abbas thought this would be really funny to post on the social media. This however, did not go so well with Octopizzo. It goes on and on. Read the whole story here.

Anyway, we caught up with Abbas and Bamboo and got to know what really cut between these two parties.

So, all that really did happen. The photo was indeed taken and Octopizzo was not amused by that. Not at all. He being the tough guy that he is, he aggressively approached Bamboo and Abbas and that’s basically how the ‘buried’ beef was resurrected.

According to Abbas, “People are so sensitive nowadays. It was just a joke. You see something funny, you laugh. It wasn’t a big deal, really!”

Bamboo had this to say about all that, “That guy was very much openly gay so we were thinking, what is he doing with Octo. The picture was just funny. That’s all.”

Check out the interview below.

Eko Dydda Shares His Horrific Post-Election Violence Experience

Together with Octopizzo, Frasha and Lady Bee, Eko Dydda appeared on Willy M. Tuva’s Mambo Mseto radio show to explain why they have decided to put their mics down and come together as artistes for a peace initiative.

Eko Dydda was in Mathare North during the violence and he xplained what he experienced, “Ukiangalia hizi clip za violence za YouTube, utaona 99.9% of it ilikuwa inafanyika Mathare. Ilikuwa bad news (If you look at the YouTube clips, 99.9% of the violence took place in Mathare. It was horrible).”

“Na wewe pia ulikuwa hapo ndani? (Were you also affected?)” Tuva asked. “Hakuna kitu hatukuona (There is nothing I didn’t see),” he continued. “Kila mtu alikuwa anaiba, ilikuwa normal. Watu wanachukua tu. Kitu ungefanya ya maana ni kuuza chakula, kwa sababu hiyo ndiyo kitu kila mtu alikuwa anataka. Kukula. Mnaamka asubuhi mnasikia, wanaume. Mnaamka asubuhi, mnapata mwili zimetapakaa (Every one was stealing, it was normal. The only legit thing you could do was sell food since everyone needed to eat. You wake up in the morning, you hear chanting. Outside you find bodies all over.”

Read about Octopizzo’s experience here. The peace initiative by artistes will start off in Mathare this weekend before moving to other parts of the country.

Do You Know Huddah Monroe’s Real Names? We Expose Them Here!

Huddah Monroe has for a long time been a mysterious figure. An enigma even. Whenever we’d write about her, people were intrigued. Captivated even. but the question that always rang through was, “Who is Huddah?”

To answer that would require more time than i have. But also, to begin to answer that, one would need to look to her past. And she gave us a hint of all that when she was being interviewed by Ian Mugoya and Tamima on Str8 Up.

Ian Mugoya asked her for her government names. Huddah obliged. Huddah is called… It’s not yet time to reveal her name yet.

But what we do know about Huddah is that she is half Somali and half Kikuyu. She is that exotic! Mhmm… On that note i wonder how many other exotic Kenyan lasses there are out there. But i digress. Being half Somali, Tamima sought to find out whether she is a Muslim to which she responded and said that she is not currently practicing any religion.

But now back to her name. Huddah Monroe’s real name is Alhuddah Njoroge. There you have it. And like an onion, the mystery that s Huddah Monroe is beginning to be peeled back one layer at a time.

Top Radio Presenter Talks About Her Childhood Abuse (Video)

Born and bred in an extended family where her parents would leave for work for days, Cindy Ogana and her siblings would be left under the care of other relatives (uncles and cousins) and that’s when hell would break loose. The relatives would abuse them however it took toll most on her as she was still at a tender age.

Acknowledging the various forms of abuse, the Hot 96 breakfast show presenter reveals how she was mainly affected by verbal abuse because being the youngest; she thought she could not speak to anyone about it. Unfortunately in many African societies, abuse is disregarded it arguing that it is a generational thing not knowing that for a child, especially a girl, what you tell her, she will carry over to her adulthood. In Cindy’s case she grew up believing that she’s not beautiful and as such wouldn’t get a man to wife her as well as wouldn’t make it in life because that’s what she was told.

However, Cindy managed to rise above all that to become one of the most sought after MC, outstanding public speaker and a top radio personality. She recently shared her story on Kaz’s “Kenyan Woman” show. Check out her story below;

However, Cindy managed to rise above all that to become one of the most sought after MC, outstanding public speaker and a top radio personality. She recently shared her story on Kaz’s “Kenyan Woman” show. Check out her story below;

Could this girl be Kenya’s youngest professional violinist

She goes by the name of Etta Madete and she has a very close, unmatchable relationship with her violin.

Her passion and love for this small musical instrument and its complex sound is beyond explanation. It can only be expressed when she plays it.

It is safe to say that Etta is now a professional violinist and a very talented musician who spends most of her energy and time with this magnificent instrument.

Enzi Media did a brief interview with her, titled ‘Perspective’ and got to know more about her and her passion which might also be an obsession.

Here is Etta, and this is what she has to play and say.

Octopizzo Says He Was Forced To Participate In The Post Election Chaos!

During an interview session with Mzazi M. Tuva today on Mambo Mseto, Octo made a startling confession while live on air!
Actually, it wasn’t so much startling nor was it shocking. It was a confession made as he was explaining why the peace initiative he and other leading Kenyan artists have decided to start and why, he came clean about playing a part in the chaos.
According to him, he even tore out the rail tracks! “Tulikuwa hapo tuking’oa mareli,” he told Mzazi. But according to him, he did so against his will because given the circumstances, he would have been beaten and possibly killed for not participating. His neighbours might have thought him a snitch!

He also alluded to making innocent Kenyans pay a “tax” or they would get caned.  “Ka haukuwa unalipa tax tulikuwa tunaku-cane” Octopizzo confessed.

“Niliona masilaha zenye hata hujawai ona kwa horror movie,” said Octo. A telling  quote of what Octo was involved in during the 2007 clashes.

He even gave security to a certain shopkeeper and kept vigil for him over his shop. The shopkeeper happened to be from the Kamba community. He even gave the reason for his separation with his girlfriend but that’s a story for another day!

AFC Leopards’ Striker Mike Baraza Featured In Leading Artist’s Video

AFC Leopards’ and national team, Harambee Stars, striker Mike Baraza has made his debut into the music scene by featuring in Qty’s latest video. The brand new video, “Nataka Man”, is all about a woman who wants a fine gentleman who’s defined by his actions; loving, caring, understanding, faithful and hardworking.

In the video, Baraza represents this man that every woman is looking for. Unfortunately, a typical Kenyan woman cannot express herself when she meets such a man. And that’s where Qty comes in. The GrandPa Records artist turns it into a song to make it easy for ladies to speak out.

Qty decided to make the video simple and real by employing a red theme complete with red candles in one scene just to give the aura of love.

Malonza and Alex give tips on how to ace the BBA auditions

After living in Big Brother’s house for almost three months, Kenya’s Malonza and Alex find it necessary to advice and give tips on how to make it into the BBA house, and how to last.

Malonza, who was basically the lover boy in the house, spent more time in the BBA contest than his twin brother and this is what he had to say to those who plan on joining the Big Brother Africa game this year.

“You have to be open, interesting, and captivating in order to stand out during the auditions. By being in the house I can tell you that something which also really helps, is if you go there knowing you really want to be in the show. Don’t just shrug and take the audition because you can. Having that attitude will give you drive. Lastly, just have fun!”

On how to last in the game, Malonza advises, “I’d say that when nominating, since you can’t see what’s happening on the outside, contestants have to think hard and strategize so that they maximise their chances of staying in the game.”

Alex too had something to share with the aspiring BBA contestants. Something that now makes a lot of sense. “I wouldn’t change anything about how I played the game, but I have made an observation. The people who do well are somewhat dominant. They lead rather than follow while in the house. That’s a key point to note.”

A practical lesson that you, the aspiring contestant should take is that of Alex nominating Prezzo for eviction. If there will be more than one Kenyan representative in the BBA house, tafadhali tupendane!

Conjestina Acknowledges Churchill For Settling Her Rent

Monday, Churchill made the full payment of Ksh. 180,000 to the landlady Ms. Susan who issued a receipt of the same, a promise he had made sometime last year. This amount is to cover the rent from February 2013 to February 2014.

The colorful and low-keyed ceremony was witnessed by Conjestina’s close family members and Laugh Industry staff at the Conjestina’s residence in Buru Buru. Conjestina was in an elated mood as she spoke to Churchill over phone, signs that she is on a clear path to recovery from the malaise that had inflicted her last year. On her part she thanked Churchill for being generous and kind hearted. “Mungu akubariki wewe na familia yako,” she said.

This year marks a new chapter for the star champion, as her ‘rent worries’ have been taken are of thanks to the Churchill Kenya Foundation.

Gone Without A Trace! These Kenyan Stars Seem To Have Lost Their Shine!

Some of these people had such promising careers and they were mad talented but they seem not to have wanted to be in the public eye for too long… They eventually vanished without a trace.

Ok, so maybe that was a tad bit melodramatic. They didn’t disappear without a trace but they may aswell have! This is a list of singers and media personalities who just decided for one reason or another to either take an extended hiatus from the limelight that may or may not have turned permanent. Who know?

CLD

When we last heard about CLD, he was ,married to a Caucasian lady of linearly progressive age… That in simple English means that she’s old. He seems to have swapped the microphone for a wedding band.

King Georgez

If you don’t remember this lad then you aren’t a mgenge as Baba Ghafla would say. This was back when Kenyan music was rare. So rare that when a truly good song came out
, matatus wouldn’t play anything else.
King Georgez dropped this madness then vanished! I wonder where he is!

Prince Adio

Remember the lad? He of the “Nikiwa Ndani” fame? Well, i wonder what happened. He gve us such a massive hit then poof! He was gone! He disappeared never to be heard from again on the musical front.
{youtube}JAq1ozzfHIE{/youtube}

Karma

Remember the “Tatizo” lass? Remember the video and all it’s product placement for Motorola? She was quite the eye candy btw! I still can’t help meself but appreciate the beauty that was singing about heart troubles. But i hear she’s married these days. Anyway, why did she decide to leave the limelight? Heaven only knows.

Lyrical Erico and Shanky Radics

Remember the catchy dancehall trackl “Bambika”? Whatever happened to the duo even after they had a falling out? I used to see Shanky Radics around Westlands a couple of years back then he just disappeared. I often wondered why the two vanished like water left out in the sun.

But her blog is full of various issues any that would have led her to her death. The three decide to follow up on the clues that she has left to unveil the mystery, but they get more than they bargained for…

Apart from following the girl’s blog, the three students get in trouble with their lecturers for their behavior. Love and relationships are poured into the mix and this makes their life in campus more they could have imagined.

Mini Skirts & Blings Banned in Court Rooms

It’s no longer casual business for legal professionals as the Law Society of Kenya moves to curtail revealing attire for practicing Advocates of the High Court. LSK Secretary Apollo Mboya and Chairman Eric Mutua said female lawyers should not wear revealing clothes, including sleeveless shirts or dresses.

Female lawyers on duty will also have to leave home their colourful jewelry /bling, avoid flashy hairstyles and leave as little skin as possible exposed. “Wearing of culottes, shorts and jeans are not allowed – whether they bare suites or not – skirts must be of dark colours and at least knee length,” said Mutua adding, “Blouses must be black, charcoal, grey, navy blue or similar colours and may be printed materials of a combination of the colours together with cream and white.”

“Shoes that expose the toes of both male and female lawyers are banned unless suffering from a feet ailment when sandals can be allowed. Shoes must be black, grey, navy blue or brown,” the LSK chairman said.

Mboya said the LSK Council revised the dress code following pronouncements on dressing by the Chief Justice that created confusion last year. He stated that the LSK Council, after visiting some courts upcountry, were shocked that some judicial officers dressed down in jeans and T-shirts on Fridays. Mboya said advocates should not dress down on any day of the week when appearing before a court or tribunal.
