Holy Dave Opens Up About Why He Endorsed Peter Kenneth

So i was having a chat with top gospel artist Holy Dave about why he endorses Peter Kenneth.

It was actually quite an enlightening convo. According to HD, Peter Kenneth represents visionary leadership. He’s a breath of fresh air as he is campaigning on merit basis and not tribe, unlike most of his opponents. Peter Kenneth trusts that Kenyans have noticed that voting for tribe is not just divisive but counterproductive because you end up with leadership that lacks agendasfor national progression.

He has run his campaign based on a vision he has for Kenya that will emphasize gainful employment, healthcare and a stable supply of food.

H.D actually challenged me to find someone who isn’t campaigning and only trying to appeal to tribal strength. Someone who is actually giving election promises that are both pragmatic and achievable.
Think about though he concluded. Think about who you are voting for carefully. Kenya needs leaders, not politicians.

And just so you know, Holy Dave isn’t the only celeb to buy into Peter Kenneth’s dream, Jalango and Eric Omondi are among leading personalities to endorse PK for presidency.

Goldie’s Husband Must Stop Trying To Humiliate Prezzo!

i have been watching this whole saga involving Goldie’s husband with some alarm. I have to admit that i do not understand what thoughts are informing his actions.

He claims to have known about Prezzo’s affection for Goldie and he opted to keep quiet. He claims that is the mature thing to do. He watched the two canoodle and fall for each other and he did nothing.

Prezzo reportedly went to see Goldie’s family and he did nothing. Now that she has passed on to glory, this chap, Andrew Harvey wants us to believe that he loved her dearly aye? Okay. I’ll buy that but why is he refusing to let Prezzo say his goodbye to Goldie?

PREZZO_BACK_HOME_1.jpg

Why was Prezzo run out of Nigeria like a dog? I found that profoundly disrespectful given that i know that as an African and indeed as an Igbo, visitors are treated well. Our culture demands this of us. So if the reports that Goldie’s family has asked Prezzo to leave them alone are accurate, i am alarmed.

PREZZO_HOME_COMING.jpg
Here’s a man who simply wants to say his goodbye to someone dear to him. Here’s a man who wants to pay his last respects and he’s being treated like nkita (dog). How does anyone justify this? He flew all the way to Nigeria to pay his respects for heavens sake. I for one agree with 2 Baba’s (Tu face Idibia) wife. How would a man who has lost his wife start granting interviews to shed light on a relationship he claims to have conducted in private? How would a man who has lost a loved one turn this tragic episode into a circus?

Goldie-na-Prezzo.png

At the end of the day, when everything is said and done, Goldie has left the Earth and respect is the last honour anyone who loved her should afford her. That’s all Prezzo is asking for. That’s what this Andrew Harvey is denying her. Conduct yourself with some decorum and stop humiliating yourself, Goldie and our Prezzo! And there i speak as a Kenyan!

Another rapper collaborates with Anto Neosoul

I have always stated that a rap and neo-soul fusion is a piece of art that brings together different aspects of music and the result is simply orgasm to the ears.

Octopizzo collaborated with Anto Neosoul some few months ago on their track ‘toboa‘ which blew up epically. Anto later went on to collaborate with teen sensation Jay A on the track ‘Pledge My Love‘.

Another rapper has now followed suit and has done a collabo with the soulful singer. He goes by the name of Maichblaq and has just released his latest track titled ‘Siku njema’ featuring Anto Neosoul in which he lays the bars while Anto puts in the vocals in the chorus and as usual, kills it.

In this new song, Maichblaq raps about the lost lives that have left us grieving, through road carnage, shoot-outs and the likes, but deep down we know that we will get to see a brighter day after all these.

Royal Media Services vs CCK: The Full Story Of Drama, Betrayal and Threats

So, what happened to the Royal Media Services case against the Communications Commission of Kenya, which announced that it would shut down transmitters set up by the media group?

Immediately after the announcement was made, RMS went on the defense, claiming that CCK’s actions were politically motivated. “We know this is an attempt by some government officials to gag the media ahead of the elections,” said Anyang’ Nyong’o. This, members of the CORD Alliance said, was because of the proprietor S. K. Macharia‘s affiliation to the Raila Odinga-fronted coalition.

The CCK had shut down six radio stations and Citizen TV services in some parts of the country, including Nakuru, Narok, Mukuyuni in Makueni, Mambrui and Malindi. The CCK countered RMS’ claims saying the media house was using unauthorised or ‘grabbed’ frequencies.

Addressing a weekly briefing on media monitoring, CCK Chairman Bitange Ndemo dared RMS to go court if they felt the move to shut down the frequencies was unfair. In one of the swiftest judgments ever handed down by a Kenyan court, RMS was able to block CCK’s actions.

“We are not politicians. We are civil servants. CCK is just exercising its mandate,” Dr. Ndemo reiterated when suggestions that he was working for political forces. Here’s a list of all the reasons CCK took actions against RMS.

To further explain how RMS transmitters were illegally put up, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority director of safety and security, Joe Mutungi, said airline operators had complained about interference in their communication caused by the illegal frequencies.

The CCK Secretary Mr. John Omo challenged suggestions that the case should be revisited after the elections, “Freedom of the media cannot be used to do illegal things. This is impunity in name of freedom of media and should not be allowed to put lives of pilot and passengers in jeopardy. The law is the law, you cannot say we should postpone operation of the law because of elections.”

In a statement, CCK said the six transmitters were part of 17 put up illegally by Royal Media Services in the recent past without a licence from CCK, and therefore in contravention of the law. They confirmed that the matter had been in court since May, 2012 and the high court only ruled on it–in CCK’s favour–on 18th January.

Mr. Francis Wangusi who is the Director-General of Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) said they confiscated transmitters in Nanyuki, Narok, Migori, Nakuru, Mwingi and other areas were being operated by RMS using self-assigned frequencies. The transmitters are located in Karue Hill, Vuria Hill, Muranga-Gatare, Enchoro Hill, Mukuyuni and Mambrui in Malindi.

High Court judge, David Majanja gave the CCK the greenlight to act against Royal Media saying the communications regulator followed the law when it shut down six transmitters owned by the company.

Two days later, the DPP, Keriako Tobiko replied to Mr. Wangusi saying, “In the meantime, I direct that no investigative agency should take any precipitate step to charge RMS and Mr. Macharia or any of its employees until I have received and reviewed the requested material and directed otherwise.”

This, the DDP, said was guided by Article 157 of the Constitution which gives him the obligation to ensure that any exercise of the State powers of prosecution by him does not include an abuse of the legal process.

Late last week, CCK wrote to the DPP asking for criminal charges to be pressed against the directors of RMS for operating unlicensed frequencies. Mr. Wangusi has tabled the evidence, which was acquired with the help of the CID, before Mr. Tobiko for the court process to begin.

“We want them charged with acquiring and using frequencies without licences, using non-approved equipment and interfering with frequencies of other operators,” Mr Wangusi told The Nation.

He also issued a warning, should they decicde to be lenient to the media house, “If we don’t act on such irregularities with immediacy, we will only start to regret after air accidents occur,” he said. This came only days after RMS had tried blocking the initial court order.

There have been reports that there are over 100 radio stations in the country but the CCK insists that only 85 are licensed. The CCK also recognizes 20 television stations.

How It Went Down at Kisses & Flicks

There were loads of themed events at entertainment spots all over the city.

But in a corner of the Arboretum, out in an open field, there was an event dubbed Kisses & Flicks. Under the moonlight, couples sat in the open air and enjoyed performances and a film under the stars. Something like a picnic in the dark.

It started off with performances from Andrew Wambua and the Afrology Band, who was later joined by Penya‘s Natalie Lukennaer for rendition of Chris Adwar and Atemi‘s Someday among a host of other original tracks; Neema, who recently made a comeback into the music industry and Webi, a multi-award singer and songwriter. There was also an impromptu performance by GBO (Golden Boy Odongo) with a track dedicated to his mother.

The performances were followed by a screening of Sleepless In Seattle starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, the biggest film stars at the time the film was made. Considered one of the best romantic films of all time, the Nora Ephron-helmed romcom enjoys a 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and got Academy Award nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Song (for A Wink & A Smile).

The organizer Quincy Wandera says, “This event will be recurring every end month and is specifically crafted on love and relationships. Every month will have it’s own unique theme.” He is also working on getting a creative team to craft the themes for each month.

“The basic skeleton is entertainment, poetry, dancing, photoshoots, and a movie though there are some other new elements that we want to introduce. Valentine’s was just experimental to taste and test the market and we think that it can be done,” he adds.

The team is already working on securing sponsors so that they can bring in an international artiste for the next edition, which takes place on 29th March during the Easter holiday. “We have identified someone and we have been in communication and they have given us an unbelievably good rate.”

On their very first event, he says, “Love should not be celebrated only on February 14th but everyday and this is something we would like people to embed as a culture to build and re-build on their love lives, marriage or otherwise.”

Among them was renowned TV producer Arthur Kamau AKA Arthur K who attended Kenyan matches with his friends. And he just didn’t walk to the venue, no! He rolled to the venue in a chauffeured stretch limo! And since he wanted the moment captured on tape, he asked the chauffeur to record him.

Nonini Dejected That Albinos Are Still Being Killed For Body Parts

He has been on the forefront campaigning against discrimination of albinos and even set-up his “Colour Kwa Face” crusade that he has been using to raise awareness about albinism. So far, Nonini has rolled a plan for how contributions can be made, donated foodstuff and other basics to children living with the condition in Mtwapa and most recently launched a calendar to educate the public about the disorder.

In all he has done, Nonini has always hoped that his efforts would help reduce violence on albinos to use their body parts for witchcraft. And in a way, his efforts have paid off in Kenya but not so in the neighbouring Tanzania. After learning of an incident where an albino was lynched and his body parts used for socerery, this is what he had to say;

Its Still So Sad and Shocking that this is allowed to happen in a this year time! Ignorance ya Watu yaani ni noma!

Attackers hack hand off Tanzania albino boy for witchcraft:

A woman with her albino child in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

Attackers collecting body parts of albinos for witchcraft have hacked off the hand of a seven-year old boy in Tanzania, the latest in a series of bloody assaults, officials said Sunday.

“The boy was attacked on Saturday by three people as he walked home with his four school friends,” said Apolinary Macheta, the local government leader in Tanzania’s southwestern Milepa district.

The boy, Mwigulu Magessa, is recovering in hospital, Macheta added.

The attack came just days after an albino mother of four had her arm chopped off by machete-wielding men, with police on Saturday saying they had arrested five men after discovering the decomposing limb hidden in a field.

In Tanzania, albinos are killed and dismembered due to a widespread belief that charms made from their body parts bring good fortune and prosperity.

Albinism is a genetic condition characterised by a deficiency of melanin pigmentation in the skin, hair and eyes which protects from the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

People suffering from the condition are discriminated against and persecuted in many African countries.

Last month an albino child died in Tanzania’s Tabora region after attackers hacked off his arm with a machete.

Kijo Bisimba, of Tanzania’s Legal and Human Rights Centre (LHRC) has said a rise in attacks is “alarming” and pointed to a renewed spate of assaults after what it said was months of calm.

Such ritual killings have also occurred in neighbouring Burundi and some of the attackers are suspected to be from Tanzania, where albino body parts can fetch thousands of dollars.

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Calif’s Rising Star

Kim NewSkul Genge is one of Calif Records rising stars. Last year, he debuted his track Rafiki and he had a few interesting things to share with us about the song. Check them out below.

1. While recording the first verse of Rafiki, Jimwat was in the studio and after listening to the first version, he told him to go change the lyrics and add more ‘substance’.

2. Part of the video of Rafiki was shot in Kamiti Maximium Prison which focuses on rehabilitating inmates through discovering and nurturing talent. The dancers were actual prisoners serving time there.

3. He never writes lyrics on paper. He composes memorizes all the lyrics in his head.

4. The initial idea for instrumental for Rafiki was a lingala/afro sound but he changed the idea to house/electro/dance after pitching the idea to Benja who made the instrumentals.

5. The song was mixed and mastered by Clemo who added his ‘magic’ to the song by adding drums and piano to the instrumentals.

6. The first part of the video was shot on Good Friday last year (2012) and it was just him and Charles Luche in the studio and it took around three hours and almost 20 takes on the greenscreen.

7. He has a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering and another Diploma in Enterprise Development.

8. Alpha Msanii was supposed to rap a verse on the single Rafiki but after listening, they decided it should be a solo project.

9. He gets stage fright that is characterised by hands shaking and palm sweating.

10. His first video interview was by Ghafla! Kenya.

The Drama Behind Goldie’s death summarized

On Friday morning (15th February) we woke up to heart breaking news of Nigerian singer Goldie’s death. The untimely death has since then left many grieving.

As usual and as expected immediately after her death, scandals were bound to arise as is with the death of any celebrity. First off, were scandals related to the cause of her death. Some claimed that she died from the inappropriate use of drugs while others blamed the hospital but the autopsy tests are yet to shed light to this matter.

On Saturday, Goldie’s husband showed up from nowhere and confusion about Goldie’s marital status came up once again. Weird thing about all this is that Prezzo was flying over to Nigeria on Valentines day to receive Goldie since she had just come back from the Grammys in Los Angeles. It is said that he had gone to propose to Goldie and had even purchased a ring for it.

Shortly after Goldie’s husband revealed himself, he posted photos of their wedding and the love that was, for the satisfaction of doubtful minds and basically just to clear the air before they buried Goldie.

Information then came about the cause of Goldie’s death, followed by sympathetic messages from celebrities to Goldie’s family.

Like I said, scandals and controversy follow death of a celebrity and soon after the emergence of Goldie’s husband, a woman claiming to be Goldie’s best friend appeared from nowhere, claiming that Goldie had stolen her husband from her and that death had finally caught up with the singer. She even presented her evidence to back-up all these.

Then, after all the crazies, walks in a voice of reason. Ghafla’s Nigerian ting, Chimwani Obiajulu, beseeched everyone to honor and respect Goldie in death.

Rest In Peace Goldie Harvey.

How Goldie Took Advantage Of BBA To Become A Superstar!

Big Brother Africa is huge! It can do wonders for anyone’s career. Goldie realised this and used it to propel herself to her dreams. To be honest, before BBA, i had never heard of her. But after? Prezzo’s friend really new what she wanted out of BBA and she took it!

Think about it, have you heard of anything from the rest of the BBA fraternity? Barbs who had that unadulterated venom for Prezzo is back to being irrelevant. The way she spoke and had alot to say about who she is and what it is that she does and will do even going as far as speaking denigratingly about Goldie’s affection for Prezzo but she came out on top!

Goldie released a new track “Skibobo” just about a month ago and it already has over 700,000 hits on Youtube! Where is the worldly Barbs and Zainab? Yet the seemingly naive Goldie has gone further! Why is that? It’s because Goldie was smarter. She was keener. Her acumen told her how to use the exposure she received from BBA.

And i dare say that save for her and Gaetano, no one has come close to milking BBA for all it’s worth! Gaetano left with the girl and went on to build a successful career for himself whether it was behind a microphone or TV camera. Goldie was just that girl! I wish her life wasn’t cut short so we could see how a real celebrity takes advantage of such opportunities!

VIDEO: Uhuru & Ruto’s Bromance

Ikenna Azuike is the host of Okay Africa’s What’s Up Africa, a Ray William Johnson-style Web show about almost anything happening in Africa.

He has previously featured experimental band, Just A Band, and Nairobi Half Life from Kenya. This time, he takes on the bromance from Kenya’s presidential candiate for Jubilee, Uhuru Kenyatta, and his running mate, William Ruto.

He gets a couple of things wrong: Uhuru and Ruto’s eligibility to run for office, the positions Ruto will occupy should Jubilee win (deputy president, not prime minister), but it’s an overall funny presentation. He also features Malawian president, Joyce Banda and Zimbabwean music legend, Oliver Mtukudzi.

Check out the Uhuruto Bromance, as presented by Ikenna Azuike, below.

Goldie’s Husband: The Kenyan lover boy (Prezzo) shall not attend Goldie’s burial

First thing’s first, I know most of you are probably thinking that there is some kind of war going on between Goldie’s husband Andrew Harvey and Prezzo. Well, it’s no big deal really according to Andrew Harvey.

Even after admitting that he was aware about Prezzo’s crush and ‘relationship’ with his wife ever since the Big Brother Africa Stargame, and the fact that Prezzo was actually about to propose to Goldie on Valentine’s day, Andrew has no hard feelings against the Kenyan king of bling.

On the contrary, he took a very mature and reasonable approach to all these. Andrew said, through an interview with a Nigerian newspaper, that he was aware Prezzo met Goldie in the BBA reality game, liked Goldie and eventually fell in love with here. He understands that Prezzo had no knowledge at all about Goldie being a married woman because, he (Andrew) and Goldie had agreed to keep their marriage a secret. To keep it from the media. So, according to him, Prezzo committed no mistake. “But now he knows, the family and I would prefer he maintains a low profile and allow us to grieve our loss. The BBA game is over now,” he said.

However, he maintains that ‘the lover boy’ (Prezzo) has been asked by Goldie’s family as well as his (Andrew’s) that he should not attend Goldie’s burial in Nigeria since the families are not comfortable with the development.

Another Creative Faiba Ad is Out!

After producing the first and second Faiba ads, Jamii Telecom has managed to position itself way above its competitors thanks to its creative and funny series of TV ads. Created by Michael Muthiga, the Creative Director of Fat Boy Animation (the company behind the ads) the ads have become so popular among Kenyan TV viewers with fans demanding to have a televised series of the Faiba characters.

After successfully creating four episodes of the commercials, the brains behind the ads has produced the last episode of Faiba series. The season finale features new characters that form what has been referred to as “Faibaa Inthernationalle from Jamii Thelecooom!”

Just like its forerunners, this ad also markets Jamii Telecom’s internet fibre connection subtly as the band sings about the advantages of such a connection. Thanking fans for their feedback, the creator promises to have a better season two of the ads.

Now we know why Goldie and husband kept their marriage secret

I’m now only left to wonder whether Prezzo knew about Goldie’s marital status since he was ready to propose to her on Valentines Day.

Goldie’s marital status was a mystery to many. Only her closest friends and family knew that she was a married woman. They even managed to keep it from the media.

Two days after Goldie’s death, her husband shows up and tells all. He even posts photos of their secret wedding on Goldie’s facebook page and tells off Prezzo.

Now, he tells Africa why he kept their marriage secret through an interview with one of Nigeria’s leading newspapers.

Apparently, Goldie and Andrew decided never to let out news of their marriage so as to protect their private lives. No evidence of their wedding whatsoever was left in their Nigerian home. Not even photos. Everything that represented and symbolised their marriage was kept in their UK home.

They even agreed on not wearing wedding rings, after the original ones got lost.

“We had wedding bands and swapped them at the church wedding, they were oversize. After the wedding I was on assignment in Houston and took them for resizing. The day of leaving, all my things were stolen from my hired car and I had to delay my journey to get new passport and visa. We both agreed that as the blessed rings had been stolen, we did not want to wear unblessed rings. From there, we decided that neither of us would wear ring again,” Andrew Harvey said.

This is Where Ulopa Makes The Magic Happen (Photos)

He is one of the top music producers and musicians in Kenya. His mastery in music production can only be likened to the likes of Ted Josiah, Musyoka, Provoke among other talented music producers. Ladies and gentlemen, am talking about Ulopa Ngoma.

He has so many feathers on his hat thanks to the numerous works of genius he has done with different artists. Ulopa recently gave the public a look inside his SideB Ulopa Ngoma Studios, where all the magic happens. Modest as it looks, this studio has created some of the biggest tracks that have ruled charts in various radio stations.

Take a look;

Waititu Hires Former KTN Anchor To Aid His Gubernatorial Bid

With just a fortnight to go before the March 4th polls, politicians are running up and down trying to position themselves well for the same. Part of that has been getting on board musicians/celebs and even some of the best brains on their campaign teams.

As such, aspiring Nairobi governor Ferdinand Waititu has hired former business anchor at KTN to run his political diary. According to MondayBlues, Cynthia Nyamai entered the deal two weeks ago after several private meetings between Waititu’s team and herself.

Nyamai also confirmed the same saying, “It is true I am working with Waititu’s political campaign team”. Nyamai left KTN to form her own PR firm, Cynthia Nyamai Communications, which helps companies to better utilize communication strategies.

How Crooked Qz Allegedly Double-crossed Event Series

Late last year, UP Magazine started a cool new performance space, The Upstairs, which began with a Dela performance to celebrate the magazine’s new issue,  a DJ set by Blinky Bill and friends (who turned out to be a Just A Band members) and Suits & Mics with Jemedari and Point Blank. The event series is no more and there is an explanation from the organizers:

We officially say goodbye to The UpStairs on the rooftop of Crooked Q/Havana. Upstairs–gone (for now), but not forgotten.

We dared to dream big–the dream for a new space that married the best of Nairobi creativity with that of its bustling nightlife; a lofted place above the fray; a studio of cool; a place where we could all meet, share a beer and shake our booty. It was very simple. It was called the Upstairs.

For those of you who came to the opening in November will remember a crazy, frantic, crescendo of raw Nairobi energy, let out of the bottle and drumming wildly. You will remember a moving, soulful performance from Della. You’ll remember the after-party of DJ Bo’s delicious beats.

You were all there. There was lot’s of love in the air. You came back the next week and grooved with Blinky Bill and Friends. You jammed your heart out. The vibe was high.

When Suits and Mics came on the following weekend, little did we know it would be our last party at Crooked Cue’s roof top bar. Little did we know the Evil Troll that lurked under that bridge, under our feet, ready to knock down what we had built up with our bear hands, eat all the bread and drink all the wine from the table and generally block our entrance to fun and good times.

We were warned by other well-known producers, such as Muthoni and Blaze, who had worked with this Troll before. It played out just like they said. He took our money and ran. He didn’t want to share in our success, he wanted it all for himself–as Trolls do. Too bad for all involved; it was a happening place, even if for a split second.

Just know, dear loyal fans, ‘Upstairs’ has definitely ‘left the building’. Nothing that goes on at the Crooked Cue roof top is associated or affiliated in ANY way with the Upstairs (or UP Magazine) in either name or spirit.

If you hear of anything going on in that space calling itself the Upstairs, it will be a lie.

So, sadly we have to say goodbye to the Upstairs (at the roof top), for now. We say ‘for now’, because we have not lost our vision for a new space. We are determined to come back. You can’t keep a good thing down. We shall return.

Meanwhile, thank you for all your support and stay tuned for: “The Return of the Upstairs” and of course the return of UP Live in April. See you then.”

PHOTO GALLERY: Goldie And Prezzo, The Memories Live On!

To be honest, the first time i heard of Goldie was when she was unveiled as Nigeria’s representative at Big Brother Africa. As i watched her, i couldn’t help but be enamoured by the lass. She was what you’d expect from an african woman.

She was constantly taking care of Prezzo and even took his side when he had one of his numerous tiffs with the other housemates. And i just wanted to remind each one of you about those moments they shared both inside and outside the BBA house:

Nigerian celebrities gather to mourn Goldie’s death (photos)

As some of the celebrities all over Africa give their condolences to Goldie’s family from their respective countries, those who could make it to Abuja over the weekend payed their respects in a gathering comprised of friends and fellow celebrities.

Nigerian celebrities met in Abuja on Friday night, shortly after receiving the devastating news through media and friends. Among them were actor Jim Iyke and West African musicians. They all mourned for the beloved departed soul and some could not hide their anger on the Goldie related scandals that are now coming afloat.

2Face Idibia’s wife for instance, found it very disrespectful for Goldie’s husband, Andrew Harvey, to have given an interview to the media just two days after the death of his wife. That a grieving husband does not speak in the terms that Andrew did, of his wife.

“No grieving husband grants interview 2days after loosing his wife. Andrew should please let Goldie rest peacefully hain! Dis drama is unnecessary,” she tweeted later that night (@Sunmbo).

Why KISS 100 Stayed Off the Internet for So Long

For the longest time, the Radio Africa Group have been averse to putting their content online. And during Aly-Khan Satchu‘s Mindspeak, the group head, Patrick Quarcoo, explained why it took so long.

“It’s been a huge challenge. If you go around the world, a lot of radio stations and even newspapers are migrating online. About five years ago, we had planned–actually six–to put Kiss 100 on the net. I started off and bought about 100 connections and in three days, nobody else could log on so I took it to 500 simultaneous connections.

Basically, it got chewed up. Took it up to 1,000, got chewed up. Took it up to 2,000 connections, it got chewed up. Now, all the guys in the South Africa, the States, all the Kenyans, were just going in, logging on and just leaving it on. And by the time it got to 2,000, it didn’t make any business sense to continue growing it.

And the challenege I had is, I couldn’t get advertisers to support it online. So, we’ve scaled back the online thing and we can re-look at it this year. I think once the cable–if it does get through Somalia–once it gets here, we’ll seriously reconsider that. And I think the dynamics of the business would change quite significantly.

And I think it would be much easier–in fact, we’re about to start rebuilding the Website. Now we’ve actually got the newspaper and you’ve got a constant information flow. The information flow is really good for bringing in spikes. I’m sure a lot of people here check 10 to 12 times what’s happened in the news. That’s one of the areas where there’s a real synergy between the print and radio: creating an entertainment information Website.”

Prezzo Flies Back To Kenya After Being Threatened

When he left for Nigeria on Wednesday morning, he was full of enthusiasm knowing that he was going to have a late Valentine’s date with his sweetheart, but that was never to be. Upon his arrival in Lagos, he was met by the shocking news of his girl’s untimely death.

But that was just the tip of the iceberg as more was to follow. On Saturday, a mysterious man (Andrew Harvey) emerged and claimed that he is Goldie’s husband and even provided photographic evidence of their wedding in 2005. There was more drama to follow as Goldie’s former best friend also came out alleging that Goldie had snatched her husband (Andrew Harvey) and like Andrew tabled the evidence showing that Goldie was a second wife.

Remember all this was unfolding in Prezzo’s face. So yesterday, one of Prezzo’s close friend told MondayBlues that the rapper had received threats from Andrew Harvey, Goldie’s legally married husband. “Leave our family to grieve in peace… You have already caused us enough pain,” Andrew warned Prezzo via his Facebook Page.

This came only hours after Andrew dismissed Goldie and Prezzo’s relationship terming it “a game”. “Prezzo was part of BBA game, just like in the movies, there was nothing to fear,” said Andrew during an interview with a leading Nigerian production. Prezzo has since cut his trip short and is alleged to back in the country having booked his flight ticket yesterday night.
