Standard Group’s Investigative Reporter Robbed KSh95,000 By Fake Cops

In a city where crime has become the order of the day, you never know when bad luck befalls you. That’s what happened to Standard Group’s investigative reporter, Amos Kareithi.

Thugs posing as policemen last Friday waylaid Kareithi along Mombasa Road and robbed him Ksh95,000 in cash, phone, watch and other valuables. The gang then dumped him near Syokimau. According to The Standard, the thugs trailed Kareithi in a private car and accosted him near Bobmill Mattresses moments after he had withdrawn KSh75,000 from the Co-operative Bank of Kenya.

“I boarded a bus to Mombasa Road soon after withdrawing the money and the robbers accosted me as soon as I a lighted at the Bobmill Stage. They introduced themselves as police officers and quickly handcuffed and bundled me into their car,” said Kareithi who suffered leg, hand facial injuries.

“They ordered me to lie on the floor of the car and stepped on me. At one stage they stopped and ordered me to reveal the pin numbers for my two ATM cards they had taken. I later learnt they withdrew Ksh 20,000 from my two accounts.”

The five robbers threatened Kareithi but later dumped him at an open field opposite the Syokimau Railway Station where General Service Officers guarding the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport rescued him.

“They took two mobile phones. It was a harrowing experience. I am lucky to be alive. The robbers were ruthless. They had a handcuff and police identity cards which may have been fake,” he said.

Ghafla! and Sheng Nation Teach Copy Paste Bloggers A Lesson

Recently one of my colleagues, Uncle Chim Tuna called out all copy pasting bloggers and asked them to credit Ghafla!Kenya for the work they copy. After this the copy pasting reduced among local online news outlets but did not stop. But now Sheng Nation and Ghafla.co.ke might have found a solution to this terrible affliction suffered by most online and offline writers.

A few weeks back Ghafla! and Sheng Nation got into a content syndication agreement. For laymen and women, this is an agreement where authors allow their work to be reposted in other websites/blogs/newspapers other than their own. This means that from now on you’ll see articles written in Sheng langage on Ghafla.co.ke and Ghafla! News articles on Sheng.co.ke. Below is a screenshot of this article we did this morning that Sheng Nation has syndicated on their side.

sheng_nation.jpg

After reading the full story HERE , a keen observer will note that there is a link back to Ghafla.co.ke at the end of the story. I hope Vibe Weekly Ghafla, Nairobi Wire Ghafla and even Kenyan Post Ghafla are taking notes at this point. There is an infinite space for entertainment blogs in Kenya that cannot be filled any time soon, and crediting other people’s work will not make you lose sleep at night bloggers. I am done!

Citizen TV’s Political Analyst & Journalist David Makali Involved in A Tragic Accident (Photos)

Last evening, renowned journalist/political analyst, David Makali, usually in Citizen TV especially in the famous Wednesday morning show, Cheche, was involved in a horrible road carnage.

Makali’s car was hit from behind by a truck but the driver did not stop at the notorious Sachangwan area of Nakuru County. The Nairobi Media Institute director was rescued from the wreckage by Nakuru Traffic Commandant, Molo OCS and Base Commander.

Speaking from his hospital bed, Makali confirmed the incident but said that he’s in a stable condition.

“Yes, it’s true I had a nasty accident at that notorious place generally called Sachangwan last night and to God be thanks I survived without injuries from that wreckage. The truck that hit me from the rear disappeared in the dark, rainy night. I thank the Police for the rescue – from Nakuru traffic commandant to Molo OCS and Base Commander……”

Here are the remains of his car;

Even Gado Has Gone Royal Baby Crazy!

Gado is quite the funny guy! His caricutures always have a lesson to impart on the open minded and the reaction they elicit from the myopic is often hilarious. And today is no different.

I read a comment by a friend of mine on Facebook and he capured the spirit of this satirical caricature. Allow me to quote him:

Muthuri Kinyamu

‪#‎TheWorldin2013‬
Half the world’s media is obsessive about the ‪#‎royalbaby‬ & the other half is talking about them doing exactly that. Gado captures that really well today.

And with that done, enjoy!

This Kenyan Celeb Has Been Quietly Building A Massive Business Empire

Syd is one of the unsung superstars of Kenyan showbiz. He’s been in the game since way back, boasting collabos with legends such as K-Rupt(with whom he sang “Chacha”), Hottie(with whom he sang “African Bam Bam“), and more recently, Wyre(with whom he sang “Guardian Angel“) and his latest song “Replay:”

{youtube}YRj4kpM0Onc{/youtube}

But what most people don’t know about Syd is that apart from music, he has been toiling away behind the scenes, building a million-shilling gas business. Syd is the CEO of Kamikazi Enterprises, a company that deals in the essential cooking gas distribution industry. He started the company two years ago and with only 3 gas cylinders. “This is the reason as to why I had gone silent on music because building such an empire took up most of my time,” Syd says. “I have 7 employees. We intend to be the first 24 hour gas suppliers bringing convenience to our customers.”

Kamikazi’s expansive network gives them the ability to supply gas all over from Mombasa road, Langata, Karen, Lavington, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Hurlingham, Westlands, Upper Hill and even high-end corporate clientele such as the Village Market.

As for music, Syd has not left that out of his plans. Now that he has his biz in check, he is set to release a brand new single with one of Uganda’s biggest artists, Jackie Chandiru of “Gold Digger” fame. Keep it locked for when that song will come out…

Photo Of Camp Mulla Bandmates In Bed Together Surfaces!

By now it’s a well known fact that K’Cous is dating his fellow bandmate Tiri aye? And if you do not know that then my guess is that you live in a bush where internet is but a blasphemous rumour! That’s the only logical reason why you haven’t been on Ghafla enough to know this fact inane as it may seem.

Anyway, a friend of a friend sent me a rather interesting picture of Tiri in bed with her boyfriend Kus Ma and I for one find this picture to be cute. the two seem exhasusted after making music and performing for their fans and they fell asleep in each others arms.

And before some smart alec tells me about invasion of privacy;

Maina And King’angi In The Morning: Would You Accept If Your Husband Asked To Marry A Second Wife?

Today Maina and King’ang’i are discussing polygamy. and the example that he has used is Dalmas Otieno whgo married his third wife over the weekend and all his wives were in attendance to support their husband. No stress, no fuss, no drama! No wife turning up with a baby in tow to protest the wedding! He did everything like a true man -nay, a true African man should! He did everything above board!

And the debate that came up was from women saying that they wopuld prefer to live in ignorant bliss where their husband runs around town with other women but aslong as he does it like a spineless little boy playing games they are alright!
One woman whom I shall call “bad news” called in to say that she has been married for ten years and she isn’t going to accept another wife into her home. she was rather eloquent in her pronouncements that her husband cheats on her and she is well aware but the day he decides to settle down with one of his little girlfriends is the day she walks out.

Her argument was about as sensible as gibberish because she said that that wife would have a boyfriend who would have a girlfriend and the chain would be a web in no time which would result in some STIs… Yeah, because your hubby running around will not get you a disease alot faster yeh?
Another caller, a more sensible lady said that these days, every married man has a “mpango wa kando” and she would rather her man brought her home so they can get acquainted. that way, she can protect her family. sensible woman.

men were rather antagonistic though saying that a woman has nothing to do with his decision to marry a second and third wife but she should accept that he is trying to be honest and upfront.
Personally, I feel that a man worth the title should have a back bone! He needs to be honest! You tell your wife of your decision to date and possibly marry another woman. And I am speaking something I personally understand seeing as I am an avowed polygamist.

What would you do ladies? would you rather your man comes to you top inform you that he will be marrying another wife and he wants you to be part of the ceremony or would you rather he cheats behind your back?

Renowned Kenyan Actor Who Played Idi Amin Hawking DVDs to Make Ends Meet! (Photos)

Many of you (unless you were born in the early 90s) will remember the Kenyan movie block-buster, Rise and Fall of Idi Amin, also known as Amin: The Rise and Fall.

Well, for the sake of the ‘xaxa, xema, qwani, qwendar’ generation, Rise and Fall of Idi Amin is a 1981 biographical film that details the controversial actions and atrocities of the former dictator of Uganda, Idi Amin Dada, during his violent rise to power in 1971 until his overthrow in 1979 as the result of the Uganda–Tanzania War. It was a co-production of the United Kingdom, Kenya and Nigeria, with most of filming done in Kenya, less than a year after Amin’s downfall.

Anyhow, not many people know what became of Joseph Olita, the Kenyan actor who portrayed Idi Amin in the film. Apart from the fact that Olita, in his prime, stood 6 feet 5 12 inches (196.9 cm) and weighed 320 pounds (150 kg) which resulted in his resemblance to Idi Amin Dada, most people don’t know what fate befell the actor.

Well, the old man today hangs around Buru Buru Shopping Center (at the Uchumi Car Park) hawking pirated DVDs of the same movie he premiered in to make ends meet. According to @Miro, it’s not that he’s a good salesman, but he manages a sizeable sale on a daily basis simply out of sympathy from his clients.

Take a look;

It’s a pity that Olita has been reduced to hawking DVDs despite playing a leading role in the films Rise and Fall of Idi Amin (1981) and Mississippi Masala (1991) – in which he portrayed Idi Amin. He also played 1st Policeman in Sheena (1984).

GHAFLA POLL: Who Has The Best Swag Between Jay A, K’Cous, Octopizzo And Ian Mugoya?

Jay A is one of the youngest but freshest artists out in the entertainment scene right now and there is no doubting that. But he isn’t the only fresh artist on the scene. There are alot of other fresh peers he has to contend with and not just in the musical arena but the fashion arena aswell.

There are the Camp Mulla lads who put the word “Swag” in every African teenagers lingo (urban speak). And none is fresher than K’Cous! He is the Camp Mulla lad I choose to run with for this particular article.

And then there is “Namba Nane” baby! Octopi-double-z-oh! You know I had to annunciate that aye? and I know you read it like I wrote it. What joy!
Anyway, Octopizzo is fresh to death and he has influenced the way urban Kenyan youth speak and dress and there is no denying that!

And finally, there is the lad everyone loves to hate but secretly admire; Ian Mugoya! This lad to me is just the definition of fresh! Well, save for the skirt look which I think only Kanye and 2Chainz should try that look. But even with that, there is no denying the lads steez! It’s too fresh! Almost like a Nigerian’s!

Anyway, with that said, who do you think has the illest swag? Jay A, K’Cous vintage steez, Octo’s eclectic tastes and Ian Mugoya

VIRAL VIDEO: Johnson Mwakazi and The Tecno Phantom Ad(Vicious Twitter Insults Included)

Kenyans on Twitter are at it again. The target this time: Johnson Mwakazi. They have gone in on the launch ad for the Tecno Phantom, in which he is starring.

The ad follows a wacky concept of a man played by Johnson Mwakazi, dressed in a dracula cape and talking slowly about how he is “everything you are.” It is ironic that the ad begins with an apology for the ‘archaic introduction,’ considering the quality(or apparent lack thereof) in the ad. Then Johnson Mwakazi goes on about how good he is at his job and similar brags. All the while, awkward pauses abound, and it just looks and sounds like a very cultish thing. Take a glimpse for yourself(it’s only 3 minutes, just sacrifice some of those data bundles of yours)

{youtube}sgka5Ie3m1s{/youtube}

Of course you know I can’t leave you without getting a taste of the bile the Twitter bigwigs have sprayed all over this ad. Here you go:

@MediaMK: this ‘launch video’ for the Tecno Phantom is right there, on the floor with jana’s underwear

@ArcherMishale: Dear Jesus, #iCant!!! Take me now! TAKE ME NOW! Wuuuiiiii!!! #Tecno

@LaylaLestrange: This is the reason kids are saying uchawi is digital.

@carolinespencer: Whaa FAIL!! Donno what Mwakazi is doing!! FAIL! FAIL!

@marcusolang: You simply must watch this: http://bit.ly/160xC1Q. I’m concerned: Does Johnstone Mwakazi have anyone advising him on his brand?

@JoeWMuchiri: HAHAHA Johnstone Mwakazi in 2098

Johnson Mwakazi is no stranger to controversy though. Remember when he confessed to being a p0rno addict?

Zuku Seals A Deal Worth KShs 250 Million To Air Kenya Rugby Union Matches!

Zuku has today unveiled a multi-million shilling exclusive broadcast partnership with Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) to air all local rugby matches played under the auspices of KRU.

The East African Pay TV provider has injected Kshs. 250 million into the agreement that will see it become the official broadcast partner of Kenya Rugby Union for a period of 5 years.

This translates to a Kshs. 50 million investment per season, for exclusive broadcast rights, production of KRU matches from the 2013/2014 to the 2017/2018 season, and an allocation of airtime of Zuku channels to promote the game, its partners and events.

Under the agreement, Zuku will have the right to televise several rugby events including Safaricom Sevens, Bamburi Rugby Super Series and the Elgon Cup. It will also cover the Kenya Cup, Eric Shirley Shield, International Mombasa Sevens as well as the National Sevens Circuit.

Speaking during the signing ceremony with KRU, Wananchi Group COO, Richard Alden acknowledged the tremendous growth that rugby has enjoyed and underscored Zuku’s  commitment to partner with KRU in bringing the action directly to the  viewers.

“We are also pleased to pioneer HD (High Definition) in the production of the local rugby matches, which means Kenyan   now watch their local rugby teams in the quality that they watch international rugby matches”, he said.

The deal is also inclusive of a bonus for the National Fifteens squad – who recently displayed a stunning performance in Madagascar – should they qualify for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

KRU Chairman Mwangi Muthee welcomed and applauded the deal.

 “The rugby fraternity is delighted that Zuku is continuing with its support of Kenyan rugby. This deal will go a long way in bringing our fans closer to the teams across East Africa given Zuku’s extensive presence and in inspiring our players to excel”, Muthee said, adding:  “The importance of a broadcaster cannot be overemphasized in ensuring the growth of Kenya Rugby and popularizing the game among the masses.”

Ten years ago, at the start of the IRB Sevens World Series, the Kenyan team  was on the fringe of the game – enthusiastic but in no way competitive against the top teams New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa and Australia.

The Kenyans had failed to qualify for the earlier World Cup Sevens finals in 1993 and 1997 and in their first season as an occasional participant were never really in contention. Worse than that, they lost every game in their first four tournaments – 17 games in a row between October 1999 and November 2001.

But then they finally broke the mould and won their first silverware in the Shield in Dubai and, since then, have scaled ever-increasing heights, reaching Cup quarter finals, then semi finals and lately a semi-final loss to England in the just concluded Rugby Sevens World Cup in Moscow.

The 15s game has also witnessed tremendous growth, with the team recently crowned African Champions after an emphatic 29-17 victory over fierce rivals Zimbabwe in the finals of the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) tournament in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Kalekye Mumo Trolled Viciously! Kenyans On Twitter Still Tearing At Her Over Her Weight!

It would seem Kenyans on Twitter aren’t quite done yet with Kalekye Mumo. The Kiss 100 radio personality and singer is currently under attack over her weight which KOT feel makes her a soft target for their bile and vitriol.

The thing about these attacks is that even when they are subtle like today’s example is, they are still unbelievably vicious. I for one have always said that attacking people in this manner is rather cowardly and I have always said that I have no respect for cowards.

Anyway, enough of my opinion on the matter; this is what I came across thanks to a site called vibe campo that highlighted this issue:

Like Itumbi, Big Ted Lands A Rewarding Post in Government

Just a week after Dennis Itumbi was appointed in the Office of The President, another TNA luminary has been appointed to deputize a Government parastatal. Big Ted, real name, Thomas Kwaka, is the new Deputy Director in charge of State Branding and Events.

Prior to his appointment to the lucrative post, Big Ted was the official MC for the Jubilee Coalition, a position he served diligently at all public functions conducted by the coalition. When Jubilee took over the realms of power, we told you that Big Ted was lined-up for a big post in Government and now that has just turned out to be true.

From a young simple man hustling (Take a look HERE) for the simplest of shows back in the 1990s, Big Ted grew to fit into the axiom ‘Big’ quite literally. Not only has he gained substantial weight, but he has also burst into the limelight with his events company, The Main Events Company.

Ghafla! wishes Big Ted all the best in his new assignment.

Photo of the Day: Big Pin & Sauti Sol’s Bien Eject DJ Crème from the DJ Booth & Take Over

So last Friday, Big Pin and Sauti Sol’s Bien-Aime were at Changez Pub in Westlands having a good time and some point felt that the in-house deejay, DJ Crème, wasn’t doing his thing right and decided to drive him out of the deejay booth.

Notice Bien begging Big Pin for just 2 minutes to try his hands on the wheels of steel.

Artist Living With AIDS -Frigacy- Tells Off Hom0Sexu@ls!

It would seem that Frigacy, one of the young new artists Ghafla!Kenya shone a spotlight on has been a rather harrassed lad. The youngin has been the recipient of unwanted attention from certain quarters… Male quarters that most confine to their closet:

Yeah… The lad has been recieving alot of affection from Kenya’s gay and homosexu@l community and he isn’t too comfortable. This what he had to say:

im kindly asking gay pple to keep off …its really irritating 4 real.
i am not gay,and whatever gives gay pple the impression that i could possibly be one of them they are wrong,im dating cathereen meek .a white chic from UK….and soon il be unleashing our photos once i join her oversees b4 end of this year.,
iv never sat down to think of myself screwing with a man..really?…its unGodly…that picture is just ugly…how does a man start even thinking of such a thing? and whats the work of EVE?

BBA Update: Annabel in Trouble Yet Again!

Hours after escaping eviction, Kenyan contestant to Big Brother Africa – The Chase, Annabel Mbaru, has been nominated for a possible eviction this Sunday. The sexy Kenyan was put on the chopping block by three of her fellow housemates.

Ethiopia’s Bimp nominated Annabel because he her considers her a threat (Reason insufficient) as well because they dont get along well. Meanwhile, Sulu nominated Annabel beacuse she sleeps a lot and rarely cooks; and lastly Nigerain model Beverly nominated Annabel because she feels she’s too quirky.

Here’s the final tally;

Elikem =5

Cleo=3

Annabel=3

Nando =2

Bimp=2

Feza=2

Bev=2

Oneal=2

Sulu=1

Dillish=1

Melvin=1

Angelo=1

Like in the past, let’s throw our weight behind Annabel to keep her in the Chase.

The Hottest New Act In Gospel At The Moment Responds To Gay Artist’s Gospel Song!

The hottest new artist at the moment when we talk about gospel is Kimdanny. Period. And if you don’t know, now you know. but that being said, the lad has taken the time to respond to Joji Baro’s -Kenya’s first and only openly gay artist- gospel song.

And indeed, the gospel song is rather controversial not in small due to the vocals but also because of the fact that Joji Baro is gay and we all know what the Bible says about homosexuality.

And this was what Kim Danny had to say about Joji Baro and his praise and worship song:

joji_baro2.jpg

Not every person who say he sings Gospel, is a gospel artist. In the bible God destroyed sodom and gomora, simply because God hates sodomy and gayism. He should stop seeking publicity with using the Gospel image.
Am not perfect, but at that point is too far. Once again gospel music is just an art, salvation, character and christianity stands out.

What do you think? Leave a colourful comment about the whole matter; is it wrong for Joji Baro to worship his God?

Ben Kitilli Struts To KTN After Ditching NTV!

After calling it quits at the Nation Media Group-owned NTV, political and current affairs journalist and anchor Ben Kitili is making his way to Mombasa Road-based Standard Media Group’s KTN.

Kitili resigned from NTV last week and will be replacing Eric Njoka, who was given the boot a week ago, on the Prime Time bulletin alongside Linda Oguttu. The soft-spoken journalist will join his former colleagues, the voluptuous Linda Oguttu, James Smart, Yvonne Okwara and editor Joe Ageyo at KTN despite having rubbished the reports that he was joining KTN after he resigned from NTV.

 Ben Kitilli tweet1

Kitilli makes his debut on KTN today and could not hide his excitement as he announced that.

Ben Kitilli tweet

Well, it appears this cold war between KTN and NTV is far from over but at the end of the day you don’t hate the player, hate the game.

God-speed Kitilli as you take up your new assignment.

Gospel DJ Moz Busted By Police in Mexico (Video)

If you’re a Kubamba fan you’re aware that the host, DJ Moz is currently in Mexico and has even acquired the moniker “Alejandro”. However, all is not well for the celebrated deejay as he found himself in trouble with the Mexican police. No, not for peddling drugs as you’re probably imagining.

Well, Moz was taking a siesta in the waiting lounge of what appears like an airport, when a Mexican cop emerged and handcuffed him before being whisked away. His mistake? Using a seat held in reserve for the handicapped.

What was he thinking? I guess he had himself to blame. Take a look;

Well, this is probably the greatest stunt that DJ Moz has ever pulled on his fans.

BBA Update: How Africa Voted To Save Annabel

So, Annabel survived eviction last night earning another lifeline in the house. Yet again, like in the previous weeks when Annabel was up for eviction, our worthy neighbours, Uganda and Tanzania saved the day.

Here is how Africa voted this week (21 July 2013) as Pokello (Zimbabwe) and Bassey (Sierra Leone) bid the competition goodbye.

Here’s who which country voted for:

Angola: Angelo
Botswana: Angelo
Ghana: Pokello
Kenya: Annabel
Ethiopia: Dillish
Malawi: Dillish
Namibia: Dillish
Nigeria: Bassey
South Africa: Angelo
Sierra Leone: Bassey
Tanzania: Annabel
Uganda: Annabel
Zambia: Angelo
Zimbabwe: Pokello
Rest of Africa: Angelo

Total: Angelo = 5; Annabel = 3; Dillish = 3, Pokello = 2, Basssey = 2. (Total: 15 Votes)

BBA Update: Annabel Survives As Pokello & Bassey Bow Out

Last night, Zimbabwe’s Pokello Nare and Sierra Leone’s Michael Bonny Bassey became the latest housemates to bow out of The Chase as Kenya’s Annabel survived for another week.

The hot and sexy Pokello simply kissed her man, Elikem before passing hugs around to the rest of the Chasemates. There was an akward silence and a few whispers here and there as the Zimbabwean Housemate made her way through the Chasemates.

Meanwhile, Bassey who was also booted out of the competition, something that really shocked and saddened the housemates. The sad part was that Bassey never saw his Eviction coming as he was replaced by Bimp who was the Diamond Head of House.

Bassey Pokello

Bassey and Pokello’s Evictions last night mean that Zimbabwe and Sierra Leone are officially out of The Chase. Sierra Leone’s Bassey and Zimbabwean Pokello became the 15th and 16th Chasemates respectively to leave the game. The exit of Zimbabwe and Sierra Leone follows shortly after Malawi, Angola and Uganda.

This means that only Tanzania, Nigeria and Zambia still have their teams intact. Kenya, Botswana, Ethiopia, Namibia and South Africa still have one Chasemate in the running for the much coveted USD 300 000.

There you have it! Keep it Ghafla! for more scoop

And Now A Song Called “Kethi Kilonzo”!

As if Kenyans on Twitter trolling Kethi Kilonzo wasn’t bad enough, now there is a song named for her! And the lyrics are all about the sale of counterfeit products and conmanship. The track is however rather hilarious and I have to give it up to the artist behind it, Dally Boy.

The track which was put online yesterday has rather hilarious tricks and tell a story alot of Nairobians are all too familiar with – sleek salesmen and second hand goods dealers. Dally Boy tells us about the products he has for sale such as a Nokla phone (cheap Chinese knock-off version of Nokia), a Nokia without features and a Samsung without anything exciting.

Then he gives us snippets of the thoughts swirling in the “grey imports” merchandise salesman. But enough about the track, why don’t you listen to it for yourself? I’m just at a loss as to why the track is named for Kethi Kilonzo… Could this be satirical input about the fact that the IEBC has disqualified her from contesting for the Makueni Senate?

These Bootylicious Tujuane Chics Now Want To Start Singing

So earlier this week, we unleashed the list of the top 4 craziest Tujuane episodes. Number two on that list was a lady named Angel Maggy, and we have found out her and her cousin Alyshia now want to turn their Tujuane infamy into singing success.

Team Ghafla! managed to get our hands on top secret photos of the video shoot for their first song, titled, “Crunk Something There.” These leaked photos show the crazy/sexy/cool side of the group called Crazybones Cousins:

Just like their name, these cousins are some of the craziest chics I have ever laid my eyes on. LOOK at some of their shenanigans at the most recent Circle event:

And when they came through to the Ghafla! office, we couldn’t let the Crazybones Cousins leave without getting some exclusive explicit action for ourselves:

And Now K24’s Belinda Obura Takes on DP Ruto After Julie Gichuru & Anne Kiguta ‘Failed’

After Citizen TV’s Julie Gichuru and KTN’s Anne Kiguta were both faulted by Kenyans on Twitter in the manner in which they conducted their interviews with Deputy President, William Ruto. And now, it’s K24’s Belinda Obura to interview him.

This Sunday, K24 News Night will be coming to you live from the Strathmore Business School at 9pm, with the theme being “The People’s Kamukunji”. Belinda Obura will be engaging Deputy President William Ruto live on air.

You can also be a part of the audience that will be live on set.  It’s simple, just send a text starting with the words K24 News Night, indicating your name, number and occupation to the number 20001.

Let’s wait and see how she’ll fair.

Kenyans On Twitter Now Change Focus Onto Kethi Kilonzo! It Seems No One Is Safe From Cyber Bullying!

Kenyans On Twitter are sometimes an unsavoury lot. They turn to humiliating people and kicking them even while they are down in what seems nay, what is a pathetic attempt at making themselves feel good. And the latest “victim” is Kethi Kilonzo.

 KOT have been posting the following messages about the fact that she has been barred from contesting for the Makueni Senate seat:

@knownAsDick

Wow,Kethi Kilonzo didn’t win her petition?Maybe it was the hair…

@VanRayza

Political cannibalism,as KETHI KILONZO puts it,ameKETHILOLIWA tena! Mafisi ni wengi Kenya hii!

@ClaudeDsouza

Ambrosia.. @TerryKibiriti: Avocado in food? Mayne kethi didn’t lose her case for this

@Gunneso

  1. #Kethi politics is not for the Nursery school kids. Try 2017

@kamonjo

  1. Kethi lost her Dad, dignity, hair,few pals n now the nomination!!….

@EdgarYatich

LOL #KOT eti Kethi’s Sim card is not registered !! @droid254 @GMuriama @AMbindyo @onesyoki

@lloyderick

RT @Challettechall: XD “@qareoqee: “@sickolia_ ” JUST IN:Government withdraws Kethi’s Birth certificate. They claim that forehead is evidence that she’s alien.”

Now allow me to say this about the entire affair: The people belittling Kethi are merely silly children looking to bring her down to their level. Kethi is a good example of a strong woman who has worked to achieve what she has and everyone attempting to pull her down are doing so simply because they are already beneath her.

Photos: Savor DJ Mo’s Souped up Toy

Last year, award-winning Gospel deejay DJ Mo, rewarded himself with a brand new ride, Honda Airwave, as a Christmas present. The machine has since been pimped and turns heads wherever it goes to.

The 2010 and 2013 Groove Award Deejay of the Year, imported the car at KSh900,000 but spent an extra KSh200,000 tuning it up to fit his status. The car has a customized name (in place of the Honda logo, DJ Mo engraved his autograph), purple LED underbody lights and of course a powerful music system (Pioneer woofer and tweeters).

The Airwave is equipped with a 1.5-liter VTEC engine that provides ample power for a fun, exciting drive. In combination with the Honda Multimatic S transmission, it delivers smooth acceleration with high torque and high output performance at mid to high speeds, combined with top-of-class fuel economy of 18.0KM/l.

Take a look at the whip;
