Another Tanzanian Superstar Stranded in Nairobi

Few hours ago, I told how ‘Prince of Bongo’ Diamond Platnumz was unable to catch his connecting flight back to his homeland after fire gutted down part of terminal three of JKIA. It now emerges that yet another Bongo superstar was inconvenienced by the mishap.

Ommy Dimpoz was travelling to Burundi via Nairobi on a KQ flight and upon touching down at JKIA at around 5AM; he and other passengers were advised to disembark from the plane and guided to the Cargo Centre at the airport and informed about the fire misfortune.

It’s from there that they were picked by buses from JKIA and booked at different prestigious hotels in Nairobi pending official communication from the national carrier.

Speaking to ‘Mzazi’ Willy M. Tuva on Mambo Mseto, from his Hilton Hotel room, the “Baadae” singer divulged that he had a show to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadhan, Eid al-Fitr, in Bujumbura where he was expected to perform his brand new track “Tupogo” featuring Nigerian artist, J Martins.

CÎROC’s New Level Eight Bar In Nairobi.

Cîroc,a Diageo produced distinguished super-distilled vodka recently treated a few selected media personalities to an exclusive launch of their Level Eight bar at Nairobi’s best Western Hotel.

The media personalities and socialites present got their taste  buds tantalized by various Ciroc samples both in neat and cocktail forms.Tim Judge the ambassador for Diageo Africa was hands on on the mixologist table making perfect cocktails. Cîroc is often associated with a “high end” clientele and you could tell that from the guests who were present.

Hussan Jiwani, (Right) Ashi Renci, and Nahid Jiwani

Cîroc stands out from other vodka brands as it is made from grapes unlike other vodkas which are made from corn, sorghum, rye, wheat, or potatoes.

However you choose, enjoy the clean finish of Cîroc.”

Juliani Lands New Role; Appointed Ambassador

Inspirational gospel artist and a renowned Changemaker for his deep lyrics and mindset on issues of bringing change and development among the youth, Juliani has landed a new role. The “Utawala” singer has been appointed the Amiran Poverty Eradication Ambassador.

The goal of the partnership is to prove to Kenyans and especially to Kenyan youth, that agribusiness offers a respectable, sustainable and ‘cool’ means of wealth creation and can be practiced even by someone with no prior knowledge or experience in this area, such as Juliani himself.

The introduction of Juliani, as the Amiran Poverty Eradication Ambassador comes at time when unemployment and poverty remain two of the major challenges facing Kenya as a country, with 21 percent national underemployment; 40 percent total unemployment and 70 percent unemployment among the youth.

Twitter To Muzzle Cyber Bullies!

If you have been at the receiving end of a KOT (Kenyans On Twitter) backlash we have exciting news for you!Twitter has announced that it will clip the wings of nasty or violent users by unveiling a new anti-abusive policy. This is as a result of offensive and threatening messages directed at high-profile female users.

The micro-blogging site has modified its interface and rolled out a one-click button to report abusive tweets.Twitter has been a platform  where cyber bullies in Kenya have savagely bashed  people most notably the infamous Susan of Tujuane and Linda Nyangweso over her weight.

“We want people to feel safe on Twitter, and we want the Twitter Rules to send a clear message to anyone who thought that such behavior was, or could ever be, acceptable,” wrote Del Harvey, Twitter’s Senior Director for Trust and Safety.

The one click button will enable the users to avoid the cumbersome process of having to go to twitters help center to register complaints. The button will be placed within tweets thus making it easier to report rogue behavior.

General Manager of Twitter, Tony Wang had to say this to people who have been on the receiving end of lurid violent abuse” The abuse they’ve received is simply not acceptable. It’s not acceptable in the real world, and it’s not acceptable on Twitter.”

“There is more we can and will be doing to protect our users against abuse. That is our commitment.” he concluded.

BBA Update: Strong-Worded Open Letter to Beverly & Biggie

Nigerians are far from letting one of their representatives in the Chase off the hook. Barely a day after calling her names, a very unsympathetic letter addressed to Beverly Osu and Big Brother has surfaced. According to the writer, Beverly is a wh0re who deserves no mercy.

Here’s the letter;

“…So our “National Whore” Beverly OSU(outcast in Igboland) finally gets down with her 90days confused ‘dada’ boyfy Angelo in a rather pathetic and undignified manner. But then what’s the difference between Miss OSU and our pathetic politRicians who f**’s us everyday without reprieve.

Now the difference is that unlike former Nigerian contestant, Ofunneka Monokwu who got drunk and was ‘FingerRaped’ by a “married” ‘dada’ 5years younger than her, OSU (which best describes her anyway) warned us all with weeks of flirting and several foreplay…you wouldn’t forget in a hurry the popular ‘fingering’ or “Nigeria’s sub-rape” as posited by movie maker Charles Novia which the people we elect don’t ever do before betraying us.

For your information, Beverly kept warning and preparing us for what to expect from her, making it obvious that her highly active libido which has in the past been satisfied by people like rapper 2shotz and several unconfirmed video directors(remember she is a so-called ‘video vixen’) could not endure the torture of 90days without getting some. Although overnight, several blogs have made a lot of noise about the “uninteresting” bathtub act between both house mates making Beverly more mentioned online than GEJ and Dame altogether in the past 20hours, its quite disgusting the show of shock in some quarters over the act…as if we never saw it coming.

Apparently its high time I give my opinion on this evil BBA which has continued to glorify bad manners, dirty acts and of course help create more jobless youths turned un-useful overnight celebs in the several participating countries. Africa seems to be at war…a war with poverty, bad governance, insecurity, economic crumbling, terrorism etc and all we can think of as a unifying factor is -in Novia’s voice “Ghana giving Tanzania STDs” or “South Africa sub-raping Nigeria” or perhaps the glorification of privates parts turned continental public areas for global consumption in the rather disgusting shower hour.

Like most young people, I am affected by what I read and watch on the internet and so it is left to imagination how many youths on the African continent who have been possessed by this show of shame and degradation of the African culture.

Nigeria is at war in the North, Zimbabwe is in another political crisis-an aftermath of yet another Mugabe self transition, Mali at war with itself, Egypt in comatose and several other crisis on the continent and in one day, two unguarded young adults disgracing themselves and embarrassing their families overshadow all these turmoil. I can imagine Beverly’s mother watching the ‘bathtub show’ and saying proudly to her friends in Nollyhood’s Mama G’s voice…”that’s my girl”. Oh what an irony.
Over the years, Big Brother Africa organized by some disgusting firm in South Africa has continued to dement the thinking of young adults who now believe what they see is normal especially in the “globalization” context as against values they were taught by their parents and ofcourse our deceitful society. In the 2007 edition, Richard Bezuidenhout rapped the drunk Nigerian mate, Ofunneka and simply said there was nothing wrong with it. Like he said “Well, this is Africa”, the rest is history as the ‘Manual rapist’ as Richard was referred to went on to win the $100,000 prize of the game. Again what an irony.

Like the good Professor, Professor Wole Soyinka who thoroughly detest the continental show of shame, it is pertinent to at juncture posits that the silence kept by people who perhaps can make a positive change is most rather unwelcome. Its high time we all condemn in its entirety the activities of these agents of a demoralized Africa where our hard-core moral values which is synonymous to us as a peculiar people on the surface of the earth is being bastardized with the mask of entertainment. Nigeria is a Country where pornography is condemned daily and several moves has been made to control internet porn yet BBA invades our airwaves with a milder kind of soft porn while we sit back perhaps hapless as teenagers and even their younger ones are introduced to a world of immorality right in their father’s parlor…atleast in the past kids who wanted to indulge in this had to do it with some discretion(hidden dvds, porn obtained through bluetooth from friends’ phones etc). BBA Chase is a nuisance, why encourage youths to chase indignity above dignity, indecency above decency, why spend so much resources to promote moral decadence. Somebody needs tell, Multi Choice that Africa needs better moral teaching packages not a show where girls with kids out of wedlock and boys who should be fathoming a way forward for our economic lock jam only come to showcase their sexual prowess …
PERHAPS its high time our National Assembly who have in recent times shown interest in similar matters(#same sex marriage,#ChildBride et al) promulgate a law prohibiting any Nigerian citizen from participating in this show of shame while also prohibiting it from being aired on any Nigerian package on DSTV (We even heard when they tried deliberating on the possibility some years ago,it was frustrated by some UN-honorables who were quite excited about the shower hour).

PERHAPS this might just be a way to begin checking the excesses of Multi Choice’s control of our airwaves. Atleast we wouldn’t forget in a hurry the embarrassment given the country during the last Nations Cup over televising on local stations. Still on the Nations Cup,I believe this is enough for the unification of the continent unlike what the thieving organizers of the amoral BBA which promotes promiscuity among opposite sex.

PERHAPS in the subsequent shows we should be watching out for homosexual intercourse shown live across the continent,I can just imagine life trans-country ‘bonning’ ofcourse to our valueless chagrin.

PERHAPS our politicians would awake from their slumber then and start crying foul.

Or PERHAPS,a rift which might someday go bad with the use of sharp objects resulting to PERHAPS bodily harm or even ‘God forbid on their behalf’ PERHAPS murder.

Come to think of it, what justification do we even have as Nigerians after all an OSU sorry OAU(Obafemi Awolowo University) student has recently entered the Guinness book of World record for Longest sex covering 15hours,7Mins and 23seconds, I wonder what this would do to us as a nation.
Perhaps, I should never have even written this or PERHAPS it is my obligation to in order to prevent our future generation from living in a society where immorality ‘is nothing’(in Olamide’s voice)
…PERHAPS
Dats wassap!”

Exclusive: Bongo Star Diamond Caught Up in the JKIA Inferno (Photos)

A huge fire broke out at the arrival terminal of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at the break of dawn resulting to indefinite closure of the airport. Passengers on planes that had landed just before the fire broke out remained stranded inside the aircrafts in parking bays before being evacuated.

Among the stranded passengers was Bongo star Diamond Platnumz. Diamond had just landed from South Africa to catch a connecting flight to Tanzania but that was never to be as all arrivals and departures were cancelled.

Narrating his ordeal, Diamond said that airport officials asked him and other passengers to disembark form their plane and whisked away to a waiting bus and booked at the Panari Hotel. The “Nataka Kulewa” hit-maker is still unsure whether he’ll be able to travel to his home country.

The Bongo superstar also caught the incident on camera. Here are the photos;

The Bongo star had this to say after the scary incident;

Meanwhile, Diamond is expected in the country ahead of his shows in Nairobi and Mombasa on Friday and Saturday respectively.

Why You Will Not Be Able To Watch Your Favorite TV Show Very Soon!

Viewers in Nairobi will be in for a rude shock come December if they do not comply with the new government regulations.

The government has set December 13 as the switch off date of the analogue television broadcasting signal in Nairobi and its environs. More than 900,000 owners of analogue television sets in Nairobi may not be able to access their favourite channels if they don’t invest in digital converters by December 31.

Initially, all analogue television sets were to be switched off by end of this year, but the regulator decided to do it in phases starting with Nairobi. The switchover in all the other areas will be done on June 30, 2014.

One of the biggest advantages is that digital broadcasting technology will free extra spectrum, which will be used in other activities such as voice and data communication, tele-medicine and tele-education.

At the beginning of this season of Big Brother dubbed The Chase,’shower hour’ photos were  leaked to the internet much to the chagrin of Big Brother Africa organizers.Social media was awash with pictures of the chase-mates in their birthday suits especially the women.Annabel’s pictures were quite a hit as she was…very endowed.Take a look here.

When she got back home after the eviction Annabel said in a press conference that she was thankful that BBA had kept the explicit content for the V.I.P audience. She had spoken too soon!Little did she  know that  pictures of her bodacious  ta-tas were all over the internet. While others would have gotten some serious panic attacks Annabel’s response was very mature.

This is what she had to say about the  shower photos ” It was inevitable I was not running around naked showcasing my body.Showering does not make me a bad person. It is about confidence.Going into the house was not showcasing breasts or lovemaking”

BBA Update:How Bimp Has Managed Not To Taste The Forbidden Fruit.

Everybody on this edition of  BBA  dubbed The Chase seems to have hooked up.Selly and Nando,Dillish and Melvin,Pokello and Elikem,Feza and Oneal and the infamous Bangelo (Beverly and Angelo)

Bimp is the only chase mate who has managed to stay out of a relationship or mischief in the house. Many have fallen into temptation but  Bimp has managed to stay faithful to his girlfriend on the outside.

Being locked in a house doing almost nothing for 90 days can drive anyone crazy and you know what they say about an idle mind.It is the devil’s workshop, so its not shocking that other housemates have hooked up and  in turn caused serious rifts between them  and their partners at home. But somehow Bimp has managed to fight these temptations including Beverly’s little bump and grind to save his relationship.

In a discussion with  Feza and Elikem about how much they miss their partners Bimp revealled that he had not seen his girlfriend since the chase began. This was  unlike Elikem and Feza who had seen their partners less than three weeks ago. From the look on his face one could tell that Bimp really misses his beau.

News: We miss them

72 days have gone by and  Bimp has managed not to taste the forbidden fruit thanks to his devotion to his girlfriend. 18 days to go,they say that the homestretch is always the most difficult .Do you think  Bimp will pull through the final lap of the race without slipping?

Top Kenyan Artists Nominated for Artist of the Year Award at OLX Social Media Awards

Top Kenyan musicians Juliani, Sauti Sol, Creme De La Creme, Nonini and Muthoni Ndonga will face off in the Artist of the Year category at the OLX Social Media Awards. The event will appreciate and acknowledge those who have contributed significantly to the growth of Social Media in Kenya.

The Winners of the Artist of the Year award will be announced during a gala dinner ceremony that will be held on August 9th, 2013 at Laico Regency Hotel, Nairobi. OLX, the leading free online classifieds site in Kenya, is the main sponsor of the first edition of the Kenya Social Media Awards.

OLX Kenya Country Manager, Peter Ndiangúi, said:  “We are proud to be associated with the first Social Media Awards in Kenya. Most Kenyan artists have shifted to digital because they have realized that social media is the best way to interact with their fans. This medium is a platform young people understand and subscribe to.”

He further added: “At OLX, we provide free solutions for entrepreneurs who want to reach out to their customers online. Our platform enables musicians can sell their CDs and their concert tickets directly to the fans, with no intermediaries.”

Speaking on behalf of the SOMA Judging Committee, Marvin Tumbo the Deputy Director Digital, New Media and Diaspora Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) said that “social media is changing the world today and with easy access to information, artists now have the opportunity to use these platforms to share their music and videos to a global audience unlike in past years where one had to rely on radio and TV”.

Here’s What You NEVER Knew about Papa Shirandula’s ‘Mboch’

Whether you like it or not, you have met Jacky Vike in one way or another. She played the naughty school girl with particular focus on rumour mongering, named ‘Mildred’ in Wash n Set on NTV. If not, you’ve definitely met her on Citizen TV’s Papa Shirandula as the chatty house-help, ‘Awinja’.

Now if you’ll argue that you’re not a TV person you must have seen her in the award-winning movie, “Nairobi Half Life” where she played a call girl. But just how much do you know about Jacky? I guess not so much.

So, here are what you might want to know about her;

#1  Jackie was born and raised in Nairobi’s Eastleigh estate before moving to Western for high school education.

#2  She met Charles Bukeko (Papa Shirandula) during an audition for a documentary in late 2009. He was in the panel and when he spotted her talent he approached her for the ‘Awinja’ role.

#3  Jacky’s mum she wanted her to do air cabin crew; which she enrolled and quit after a semester. Her heart was simply not in it.

#4 Her greatest motivator is her mum.

#5 Jacky can’t live without God and her mother.

#6  She hates lying because she hates being lied to.

Jacky_Vike2.jpg

#7 Jacky began acting in school and has since performed in stage theatres, local TV, documentaries and award-winning movie.

#8 Her favourite actress is Taraji Penda Henson.

#9 The silliest thing she’s ever heard people say about her is that she actually knows her way around town; “Two Kikuyu ladies recognised me. They started talking to each other – “ni ko?” “Ii ni ko, kai koi tauni?” Translates to – “Is she the one?” “Yes she is; you mean she knows the city?”

#10 She’s 26 years old.

There you have it!

Kenyan Artists Warned About Twerking!

Twerking is slowly becoming a mainstay in most music videos in the country. But just what is twerking? The free encyclopedia describes twerking as a dance move that involves a person shaking their upper hips and lower hips in an up and down bouncing motion, causing them to shake, ‘wobble’ and ‘jiggle.’ To “twerk” means to “dance in a sexually suggestive fashion by twisting the hips.”

Now that we’re on the same page, twerking in music videos has been reprimanded and the latest to do so is German-based Kenyan rapper, K-Nel King. In his counsel delivered in the most austere manner, K-Nel warns artists about the manner in which they should handle the dance move.

“My tip to Kenyan Urban Artists; I have been receiving a lot of music videos to review from the motherland. Pliz, cut that TWERK sh*t off your videos especially if you have dancers who can’t do it right. That sh*t looking corny. Oh yeah, you looking at the Americans and wanna copy and paste the same. Go ahead but make sure it’s done right.#My2Cent”

The event is held in cities in the United States and Canada.According to Wikipedia Each student group that attends is asked to make a commitment of one local and one global action throughout the year in order to help create positive change in the world.

Just like Joe Jonas Nelly has been involved in philanthropy projects in Kenya and even donated a whooping one million dollars in 2011 to facilitate the building of  a girl school in the Maasai Mara region.

The boys choir of Kenya looked pretty excited to meet the stars.(Who wouldn’t be?)Take a look:

Big Brother Africa Update: Blast from the Past As Annabel Mbaru Takes A Bathe With Nigeria’s Melvin! (Picture)

Annabel Mbaru said during her press conference that she is proud of the fact that she did not do anything controversial while in the Big Brother Africa house and that got me thinking… Hmm… Is this really the case? And lo and behold my cousin gives me this:

That’s Annabel in the bathtub with Nigeria’s Melvin Oduah!

Kunguru Joins Top Celebs in Making a Difference in Kibera (Photos)

Over the weekend, top celebrities showed a true commitment to a noble cause either by taking part in a charity. In my opinion however, their selflessness makes them heroes rather that celebrities.

Under the moniker, “L.A. Web” the group led by Kenyas’ afro-centric musical mixtress and social worker Iddi Achieng’, made way to Little RockInclusive Early Childhood Development Centre in Kibera Slum. The center intervenes in Early Childhood Education, for the Vulnerable and disabled Children.

The centre offers services to five groups of children, Orphans, Infected & affected by HIV, poor and special need children (physically disabled, deaf, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and mentally handicapped).

L.A. Web is a clique made up of celebs and their friends that reside in Langata estate.

Nigerians Tear At Emmy Kosgei For Her Impending Marriage To Tycoon Apostle Anselm Madubuko! Call Her Ugly And Many More Names!

Jeff Omondi, our resident “Jatelo”, “Jaduong” himself just put up a hot article about Emmy Kosgei’s pending nuptials to omo Naija, Apostle Madubuko and the internets have gone wild with Nigerians talking alot of grease about the beautiful gospel songstress.

I am appalled to see how low people can sink when instead of being happy for the couple, they prefer to attack them. But let me simply give you the excerpts of the worst attacks on Emmy and the good apostle and let you come to your own conclusions:

Gospel Songstress Emmy Kosgei Set To Wed Renowned Nigerian Tycoon Preacher This Month!

33 year old daughter of a Kenyan bishop and award-winning Gospel songstress, Emmy Kosgei, is about to tie the knot. According to a report by Yes Magazine, the General Overseer of Revival Assembly Ministries International, Apostle Anselm Madubuko is the lucky man.

The preacher’s wife of 28 years, Connie Madubuko, died a year ago and now it seems he’s ready to remarry. Their traditional marriage will take place on Thursday August 29th in here in Kenya, while their church wedding will be held on Saturday August 31 at Revival Miracle Cathedral in Lagos.

This will later be followed by a reception at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in Lagos.

Commenting about why he settled for Emmy, Apostle Madubuko says,

“The truth is that God brought her to me and it was just glare in my spirit. When my wife passed on, I was completely clueless and I began to pray. God showed her to me. She refused my advances initially but after some time through prophesies and so on, she said yes.”

Karun & Just A Band Rock The Elephant

Not even the looming rain could scare away the fans that showed up for Live At The Elephant with the now solo Karun and all-cool art collective Just A Band.

The event started at 9.00 p.m., about an hour after it should have. The equipment had been covered putting doubts on the open air event after the drizzle. But after introductions by afro-soul artiste Eric Wainaina, the show, ready for take-off was launched by Karun.
She had the daunting task of performing 90% new material, a position a lot of popular artists who have a lot of expectations don’t find themselves in. She met and surpassed those expectations.

With only one released song, Photograph (which is way catchier live), she held her own with a bank of R&B, ballads and more soulful and mature tracks than any teenager can do. The collection of catchy dance tracks and vocal show-offs reminds one of the early days of Ciara, specifically her first album, Goodies.

The set lasted for almost an hour with original material only punctuated by a brilliant cover of Michael Jackson’s PYT. And not a single note was missed. She was backed by the Super Band, and at one point, Jack Odongo, her mentor. She was later joined by the other Camp Mulla runaway, The MC Africa (formerly known as Taio Tripper).

At the end of her set, she announced that she would be leaving for the U.S. to attend school at Carlifonia Tech. And behind she will leave a memento, her debut solo album which is set to be released on the 16th of this month. That will make it two albums within a year after FuNKYToWN with Camp Mulla in late last year. Not something any 19-year old can boast of. Not bad we’d only previously heard solo on covers and End of the Night (Party Don’t Stop II). That I would say is the album to watch out for this year. One song I was looking forward to was Mwanawe (with rapper, singer and producer Dora) but it was not performed.

After a short break, Just A Band took to the stage and performed the best of their tracks from the usual set from Hey, Huff+Puff and Ha-He to surprises like Migingo Express and Have You Seen Her, performed by Lisa Oduor Noah who helped out with other tracks throughout the evening.

The crown of the set was the love song Probably  For Lovers which turned into a lingala dance-off complete with an unlikely ‘banabakongo’ hypeman, Boddhi Satva.

They also performed the unreleased but oft performed Love Is On Our Side and finished off with the ultimate party-ender Get Down. But the band had to stay on after the familiar end-concert protests, closing with the song that opened their latest album, Life of the Party with an Azalea Banks-sounding cameo from Karun.

Live At The Elephant is a monthly music showcase at the Elephant (formerly Kifaru Gardens). The Friday concert was the fourth with previous ones featuring Aaron Rimbui, Chris Adwar and Eric Wainaina among others. Watch out for details of the next one here.

Willy Paul’s Celibacy:My Two Cents on The Matter.

Controversial gospel artist Willy Paul recently announced to Kenyans and the world over his decision to go celibate. This brings about the question; “Aren’t gospel artistes supposed to be celibate from the very beginning or are they allowed to have sex while still singing about God?” Think about it logically, this announcement is in fact an admission that hitherto, he was partaking of the forbidden fruit: guava!

I am not trying to mount the proverbial moral high horse here but i thought the Bible explicitly states that we should not have sex before marriage and a gospel artistes -as role models- is expected to follow the Bible word-for-word.

This recent inadvertent admission of fornication gives credence to Pendo’s claim about doing the nasty with Willy Paul something which the singer has vehemently denied.so what does Pendo have to say about Willy’s willy?

 Willy performs with Gloria Muliro

Then again, these are my personal opinions and mine alone. Post a comment on whether you agree or not in the comment section.

Ghafla’s Movie Experience At Starflix: Star Trek

Last night my Luhya brother Fox and I went out to Starflix to catch the 8:45pm screening of Star Trek: Into Darkness and trust me when I say it was an experience worth having! Everything about Starflix is inviting! from the staff, to the layout to the screens themselves.

When we got there, we were 10minutes late. but there was no confusion and hurry. If anything, the staff’s calm demeanour calmed us down and reassured us. i believe the lass that we first spoke to was called Angela Mwongeli. Anyway, she was immensely helpful at reassuring us that we weren’t too late.

Then the popcorn lad. I’m ashamed to say i didn’t catch his name. Anyway, he always has a smile for you irrespective of how hard his day has been. i have never had to endure bad service from the lad.

Anyway, away from the team, we checked into the second screen to watch the movie of our chosing and boy was it ever an exciting affair! The screens are clear! Forget those fuzzy and out of focus sorry excuses for a movie you are used to. This one is crystal!

As for the movie, I actually think that the experience enhances whether or not you will enjoy the flick and because I enjoyed the service, I immensely enjoyed the movie. Or maybe it’s because I am an avid Star Trek fan!

For starters, the Antagonists give an awesome performance and in a break from Hollywood monotony, the main villian Khan (plays BBC’s Sherlock Holmes) is superior in intelligence and strength. He is superior to everyone aboard the S.S Enterprise (the Star Trek ship on which the heroes fly). Trust me when I say it makes for an interesting plot, trust me!

Anyway, I don’t do spoilers. So make sure you check out the movie with a friend or with your special someone whomever they be!

BBA Update: Angelo Might Get another Chance after Hanky Panky in the House Only if…

Over the weekend, South African ‘chasemate’ Angelo Collins and fellow housemate Beverly Osu from Nigeria engaged in a steamy hokey-pokey that led to the Nigerian model get thrown under the bus. While Beverly must have had her fair share of reproach, Angelo is yet to.

One of her retweets however, seems to suggest that if Angelo can admit that what he did was wrong, Candice could give him a second chance, “I have respect for people who can admit when they messed up, there’s no shame in that.”

Candice tweet

Candice also denied the story circulating at the moment that she had, in an interview with a South African blog, made it clear that Angelo is only having fun with Beverly that he will come back to her at the end of the reality TV show.

According to the story, Candice Arends wasn’t taking the whole show of shame between her boo and Beverly funny. She had allegedly said she and Angelo have a very serious relationship and that she understands his moves in the house as the Nigerian girl is practically throwing herself at him and he has no option but to take advantage of her. That she was ready to fight for her man as they are planning to get married before the end of this year.

AngeloandCandiceArendsSA3.jpg

Candice says she never had such an interview, and again, Angelo is not yet a father as some blogs are claiming.

Marion Shako the award winning singer of Ahadi Zako provides some interesting insight about getting her Mr Right and gives advice to ladies on finding the man who will put a ring on it.

The Ahadi Zako singer says that her Mr Right will have to be a believer. She goes further to add “No woman  should sit around waiting for a man:you have to fulfill your calling. When you are fulfilling your calling, the right man will find you.The biggest mistakes women make is to yoke themselves with a man from a different faith, hoping he will change .It does not work that way”

Marion grew up in Makupa Mombasa under the roof of Sylvia who was a secretary and Aggrey Shako a farmer. She lost her mum in 1993 when she was still in high school something which devastated her, understandably.Marion was put through secretarial school by her Elder sister Anita whom she describes as a gem.

Santa Fe: A Mature Plan For Your Weekend!

Sometimes all a lad wants is a mature night out with his friends. A chilled night of quiet drinking and partying without all the “excitement” of having to endure being next to an obnoxious boy and his equally annoying friends.

Think about it, there are days when while you do want to go out and dance to some good music with your pals and your girlfriend, you do not want to have to endure watching someone puke on themselves or pass out. You just want a chill night where prices are pocket friendly, the ambiance is awesome and staff serve you with a smile and promptly.

And Santa Fe has everything you need for you to have an enjoyable night out, from ample parking to helpful and friendly security to reasonable prices:

On Thursdays, from 5pm to 9pm(yes, that’s right! 4 WHOLE HOURS!) you’ll get 6 of ANY of our local beers for ONLY 1000/ That works out to about 160 bob per drink. Sounds like an absolutely amazing deal to me.

For those who prefer ‘makali,’ you can get a 750ml bottle of vodka and 4 Redbulls for JUST 3500/=. The value here is undeniable.

If a bottle is a bit too much for you on a Thursday night, well how about some shots? Shots served at Santa Fe tomorrow start at 150 bob, so bring your friends and girlfriends to enjoy a fantastic night out at Kenya’s very first Tap Out Thursdays.

And the DJs in the house will be DJ Andy and DJ Hassan -you know them from KBC’s TV show Homegrown and HBR Radio so you know the music will be awesome! Why not check it out this Thursday, afterall, you know you’ve been paid.
