Unless you are a member of generation ‘Xema’, ‘Xweety’,’Qwendar’ or ‘Fwend’z you remember one Ken Walibora.He is the guy who wrote the prolific book Siku Njema and wrote the short story Mayai Waziri Wa Maradhi In the anthology with the same name.

According to Jackal News the prolific writer is set to make a debut  on QTv and host the Swahili version of Citizen’s Sunday Live.The soft-spoken scholar currently works at NMG as the Group Editor, Swahili and manages broadcasting and the Kiswahili newspaper, Taifa Leo.

Before joining  NMG, he has been an assistant professor of African languages and Literature at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.It is alleged that he lost his job at the university due to flashing his genitalia to an unsuspecting student,something which the writer has denied with a lot of vehemence.

Thanks to his affectionate nature, immediate former Ghanaian BBA housemate and the third Finalist to be evicted, Elikem, last night won himself a fully-paid holiday to Mombasa, Kenya.

The trendy tailor may not be walking away with the USD Grand Prize but the young Housemate managed to bag himself the coveted title of the Most Romantic Gesture for his breakfast in bed for Pokello.

This means that the Ghana man is walking away with an amazing holiday package valued at USD 10 000! Elikem’s Most Romantic Gesture prize package is as follows:

• a five-night, all expenses paid stay in a luxury room at the Sarova White Sands Hotel in Mombasa, Kenya with anyone he chooses to take.
• two return air tickets courtesy of RwandAir as well as spending money.

Elikem, who had been evicted from The Chase quickly said he would be sharing this prize with his lady love Pokello.”I am taking Pokello no doubt,” shouted the Ghana man.

 

Elikem and Zimbabwe’s Pokello formed one of The Chase’s most beloved couples; Polikem. Last night, the two were once again reunited and celebrated the moment with a sweet kiss.

i must say, I rather enjoy young rich. The show brings people on who have made their millions. And if anything, that is quite the incentive for me to keep on my grind. Especially Sunday’s episode.

They brought on one Tony Mwaura, the man behind the company that has given you most of Airtel’s ads. He is actually the main competitor for the company that makes the Faiba ads.

And he is a go getter and he is getting it and is now worth 20 million shillings at the age of 25! Kind of like what drake raps, “25 sitting on 25 mill!”

It would seem the intrigues from Big Brother Africa aren’t about to end! Not with yobs like Angelo anyway. The yob who recently proposed to his girlfriend and she accepted -inspite of the fact that he had s3x (which was probably unprotected) with Nigeria’s Beverly.

And what did the yob do when he was at the BBA final? Well, he thanked his long suffering girlfriend by making yet another pass at Beverly.

Right after being evicted, Beverly’s went on the Live Eviction Stage and “her man” Angelo was awaiting, arms wide open. Confused, the Nigerian beauty turned around to see what the commotion behind her was about, she caught a glimpse of her dreadlocked man and ran straight into his arms.

I wonder how this particular relationship will play out.

Huddah Monroe is not a new face in the Kenyan entertainment scene.She is arguably one of the most talked about Kenyans right now due to her antics, if she is not flashing her cash,she is flashing her body.

I stumbled across an accusation being made by an American hotel and was rather shocked by the nature of the accusations given that Eric Omondi is not a little man in terms of financial might!

The DFW Airport Hotel & Conference Center has accused Eric Omondi of refusing to pay after issuing a bouncing cheque after his stay at their facilities. And they did this on a picture he had posted of himself with the former president of the Republic of Kenya.

Last night, curtains finally fell on this year’s Big Brother Africa stargame, The Chase, after 90 days of drama. The night saw Dillish from Namibia take home the coveted $300,000 (approximately KSH24 million).

For starters, Dillish owes East Africa, a consistent block voter in the series, for throwing its weight behind her and ensuring she effectively won the contest. With three points in her bag, Dillish got the support of Angola and of course her motherland, Namibia to scoop the top prize.

But just how did the gorgeous Namibian manage to beat other 27 contestants in a tight race where the winner takes it all? Here’s how Africa voted;

Yesternight saw the end of yet another epic season of Big Brother Africa.Everyone was dressed to kill,Huddah in an awesome yellow dress,Pokello showing us why exactly she is the ‘it gir’l in Zimbambwe and Hakeem looking as fine as ever.

The housemate of the day however was one  Dillish Mathews .The girl dubbed the ‘barbie doll’ took home the coveted number one position.Cleo the petite Zambian rapper came in second,Elikem  the designer came in third,Melvin  the model fourth and the fifth position was taken by one Beverly Osu the video vixen!

Namibian Dillish was born in the country’s capital city, Windhoek.She is a third year psychology student who loves her sea food.The 22 year old was unpopular at the beginning with names such as pampered and lazy being used against her.

In a classic tale of the underdog rising to the top , Dillish  proved to be a force to reckon with winning herself  some expensive jewellery in an endurance task.Africa took notice of the young lady and voted overwhelmingly for her making her  the first Namibian to bag the coveted 300,000 Us Dollars.

Either Huddah is just one undecided human or she was just playing with scribes. After announcing that she would NOT be attending this year’s BBA ‘The Chase’ grand finale, and entertainment sites running with the story, the young socialite now makes a turn around.

Moments ago, Huddah uploaded a photo of herself chilling with fellow former housemate, Annabel Mbaru a.k.a. Anna Banana and captioned, “With Annabel heading to SOUTH AFRICA…..JOBURG’ we comin baby…….large up urselves!”

You know  K-Krew  from their gospel morning show on Sunday called Rauka that was once  hosted by  the dynamic Duo Njugush and the alluring Joyce Omondi.Rauka is the first segment in Kenya’s Celebrated Gospel show: Gospel Sunday Live.

We had earlier announced that one half of the duo Joyce Omondi had quit the show to pursue her education,well it seems that the crew is scouting for Njugush’s co-host posting this on Social Media:

Kenya’s leading mobile network operator, Safaricom, does not rehearse when it comes to advertising; the telecom goes all out on spending. In 2008, Safaricom produced an awe inspiring TV ad, ‘Niko Na Safaricom’ that blew many away.

Fast forward to 2013, Safaricom again churned out another TV commercial, ‘Naweza Na Safaricom’ for its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilty) program. Like in the first ad, Safaricom seems to have instructed its creative team to go out of its way to produce the best TV ad; and the result was breathtaking.

But just what went into putting it together? The making of the TVC saw the use of planes and three helicopters, similar to the previous TVC, an extensive cast, three helicopters and one of the best camera team in the world.

The new TV commercial was shot over picturesque scenery around Kenya, including farmland in Narumoro, Lake Michaelson on Mt. Kenya, Faza Island in Lamu and Congo Mosque along Diani Beach. This brings a familiar feel to the TV commercial (TVC) of the previous campaign,  “Niko na Safaricom”.

CEO, Bob Collymore however says the new TVC was cheaper than the previous, though he wouldn’t reveal the cost of the two commercials. The new campaign is expected to last for about two years, based on the way it resonates with customers.

Angelo and Beverly have arguably been the most controversial couple of this year’s edition of Big Brother Africa mainly due to their infamous sexcapades.

Angelo got to ‘hit it’ in the bath tub for the first time and many times later in the show under the glare of the cameras! The video of their sexcapade went viral and Africa was up in arms chastising Beverly for the act.

Many wondered whether the relationship was serious or whether it was just as a way of staying relevant in the game.Their love story was cut short however when Angelo got booted out of the game last Sunday.

The Star newspaper caught up with Angelo so that he could dish on the relatonship with Beverly.The thirty Eight year old dancer said that their relationship was differnt now that Angelo was out of the house. adding that ‘It is up to me and her to see where our relationship will go.I believe if we can work at  it,it can work.’

Asked on who he hopes will take the prize money,the South African said that Melvin the gentleman has his blessings.

A few days ago I asked Kenyans whom they would want to see carry the day down in South Africa given that our Kenyan representatives were kicked out of the competition prematurely and i am surprised at the number of Kenyans who responded.

And they have indeed had their say and I can tell you that it would seem that if Kenya and Nigeria had their way, a Nigerian would carry the day: Melvin. But enough of my bush analysis of the statistics, let me just give them to you and let you interpret them for yourselves:

It was rather unfortunate that KTN’s anchor Lindah Oguttu’s boyfriend was taken in for questioning on suspicion of carjacking and possession of stolen cars, allegations that the gentleman denied insisting he’s nothing close to that.
