Last Sunday kicked off the crème de la crème of award season with one the biggest award ceremony,The Golden Globes.
Critically acclaimed,Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave bagged best film (drama) at the Golden Globe Awards.But the rest of the 12 Yeras A Slave nominees went home empty-handed.Among them was Lupita Nyongo who lost the the title of “Best supporting actress in a movie” to Jennifer Lawrence of “American Hustle” .
Jeniffer a clear crowd favorite beat Blue Jasmine,”Kenya’s Lupita Nyong’o in “12 Years A Slave Sally Hawkins in “Blue Jasmine,” Julia Roberts in “August: Osage County” and June Squibb in “Nebraska”.
Lupita Nyong’o however walked away with best dressed honors in a spectacular off-the-shoulder caped gown from Ralph Lauren Fred Leighton jewels and red pointy-toed heels.
