A while back Kiambu’s governor stirred the hornet’s nest when he said that single people have no family values and should not be elected into office.

Adding that

“We must not elect leaders who do not have family values. I ask you women who are more than 35 years old and not married to get married as you are the reason men have problems”

As expected Kenyan women especially hardworking single mothers were up in arms and lampooned the Governor mercilessly and demanded that he should apologize. One of them was Wilbroda of Papa Shirandula who had this to say:

“Somebody tell Kabogo to always drink milk after smoking whatever he’s smoking!!!!”

A friend by the nameValentine Adhiambo then asked which brand of milk”which milk? mama’s milk or ng’ombe’s milk?”

To which Wilbroda replied

Wangechi is one of the most talented rappers in Kenya but her management team seem content on not really releasing and pushing her material. She is just being dangled like a tasty morsel to keep music lovers (who in this case embody the ass) going in exasperating anticipation.

Wangechi is everything you could ask for from a rapper, she is intelligent, has great diction and low pitched vocals. She also has an added advantage, she is beautiful. So why has her management team been fumbling about releasing her material? I know not.
She is a stallion to be let loose and allowed to run right through the gate and on to greatness instead of this befuddling, boggling and baffling bangle-job of a career projection which her her releasing 1 minute video teasers that just whet our appetite.

Anyway, away from rumblings from frustrated music lovers, let us get into this offering from the female rapper. Superb production work, the instrumentals are indeed way above what most Kenyans can produce and the vocals blend with the instrumentals well. But again, her management needs to understand entertainment! Read up on international and local successes -for the record, the artists kept bubbling never become huge. They always fall flat. Yesterday, word emerged that Ebru Africa news anchor Reenah Shivisi had succumbed to her injuries sustained from an unfortunate automobile accident. The former Homeboyz and Easy FM personality was involved in the accident on Sunday night.

The reporter’s friends decided to make a video to honour and celebrate her memory and it is a video montage of different periods of her life both professional and private.
I found the entire notion rather touching and I think it’s something I wouldn’t like done for me if I do go given my most recent memories are ratchet as no, never mind.

Former Homeboyz And Easy FM Journalist Dead (UPDATED)

It is with a heavy heart that I report the passing to grace of a former Easy FM and current ebru TV journalist Reenah Shivisi. The lass who worked at Easy FM before moving on to Ebru TV in search of greener pastures passed on and while information as to the cause of death is still scanty, her death was confirmed early today afternoon.

Reenah Shivisi studied at Keveye Girls High School in Kakamega before moving on to Daytstar University for her undergrad studies.

Other than working at Easy FM, she has worked at Homeboyz Radio and was at Ebru TV.

We at Ghafla!Kenya wish to send a message of condolence to her family and friends who have lost a daughter, sister and friend. May she rest in the eternal peace of the Lord.

It has been revealed that she was involved in an accident on Sunday night and succumbed to her injuries today in the afternoon.

I received word from an anonymous source that Avril was set to be wed to her South African beau. Boy, bad news has a way of rolling of Uncle Chim Tuna’s testy tongue. Anyway, I received the information via my mail and the information I received went on to state that the wedding is set for April.

Allow me to share with you part of the mail concerning this wedding:

“We have the recent news on singer Avril and her wealthy South African investor. We have in our possession a wedding card for the two love birds who are set to wed in April which is Avril birthday month.”

My anonymous source went on to specify the location of the wedding.

“The wedding is set for Zanzibar as we have been told there wanted a neutral venue. The guest list includes some very top names in South Africa ,Namibia and Kenya .The wealthy South African comes from a very rich family who own gold mines in South Africa and Zimbabwe.”

Uh huh… Well, Uncle Chim Tuna reached out to Avril via a phone call that went begging. I however refused to let it go and I texted her. When I did, she replied a while later and she said that a date has still not been set.

The song has been topping charts for some time and Majirani the song-writer said that this song was inspired by a real life experience in jail.

Majirani last week released another life experience song by the name “Si Umarry” that talks about the woes of a young man being pressured to marry yet he has no experience.
