Fess is arguably one of the fastest rising Kenyan artists, The delightful young man that thrilled audiences all over the country during  the sixth edition of Tusker Project Fame TV series is back with a release of his debut single Top The World featuring former school mate and Sony recording artist Xtatic.

The journey to the top for Fess started back in high school whereby he seized every opportunity to sing, and soon after graduating,  he started performing with the group Songoma,

He has since left the group and apart from doing music he is also a part time student at East Africa School media Studies .

Fess is also among the graduates of the National Talent academy, an initiative of the government to promote the growth of talent and art all over the country.

Urged on by his mom, Fes auditioned and got a place as one of the 15 finalists on the star studded TV show.  Immediately  after the show, Fess was signed to Ennovatormusic a record company that has worked on Projects  with such artists as Atemi, Eric Wainaina, UMG, Warner Bros., MTV

#TOPOFTHEWORLD is an edgy pop single that is set to catapult Fess to the top!

Tiri has been on the grind dropping project after project alongside her group mates Shappamann, & Kusma also working alongside international acts like Zone Fam (Zambia).

Showbiz Africa Ltd set up Kenya’s first 7D theatre in TRM Mall on Thika Road. It offers movie aficionados and thrill seekers in East Africa the first 7D theatre experience.

MCSK landed in mombasa with one mission; in partnership with Regional radio stations and Community Radio Stations , and supported by TripleP TV, are re launching the ” USIKATSIE NGOMA ” campaign. The campaign covers three main messages:
Firstly , we shall be encouraging Kenyans to buy music from a legal source to support our local artists.
The second message is one of patriotism and what we are simply saying is that when you buy Kenyan music then you are supporting the Kenyan musician.
The third message is one where we are showing Kenyans how to actually make use of the internet.

Tiri Murai now has her own mix tape which took several months to be released. The mix tape features Kagwe Mungai, Kanja, Thee MC Africa & Kus Ma.

There is a new song in town and it’s a dedication to Lupita Nyong’o by Bengenge maestro Chris Adwar! Well, I guess it was only a matter of time before someone did it.

First time I heard there was a song out on Lupita, I dismissed it as just another effort to milk from the ripe cash cow, well the name on the song made me take a peek and I’m glad I did.

Chris Adwar does not disappoint, the drums and strings all add up to a danceable easy tune. He could have been singing about anything and this would still have been a hit. The lyrics are simple but not repetitive and easy to sing along regardless of your tongue’s orientation. This is bound to be the next hit song from a someone who knows a lot about hits.

Before I start sounding like a court poet bent on praises sample the song for yourself below and give credit where it is due.

Before you speak up to blabber about the lack of quality in local music, ask yourself have you contributed to the situation! Of course you have.
