Colonel Moustapha has been having it rough ever since he -in Kanye West’s words- “been talking real reckless/ Stuntmen!” the story started off as a fairytale romance between him and Huddah only for a picture to surface about him being seen taking another woman to a lodging in the general CBD area. That was the final straw that broke the camel’s back and Huddah had enough and so she came out declaring their “fling” was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

That was when Colonel Moustapha begun talking really recklessly asking Huddah, “If Am Not in Your Class How Come You Took Off Your Clothes for Me?” And that coupled with the racy photos that were allegedly leaked got Nyota Ndogo riled up. And she wasn’t just going to raise her voice, she was going to escalate things a notch or 5 higher! She organised a protest against the good Colonel.

When Mzazi Willy M. Tuva called up Colonel Moustapha, he was rather subdued and sombre as he issued an apology. But all that happened yesterday. But what wasn’t up yesterday was the actual apology. That is exactly what I got my sweaty mitts on:

When you’re a former Miss Kenya, you definitely know every tidbit about matters beauty. Former Miss Kenya, Rachel Marete knows that too well.

The Miss Kenya 2005 has lined up an influential celebrity stylist team that will make her look flawless ahead of the shooting of her new music video. A resident of the affluent city that is Beverly Hills, Rachel, has definitely learnt a thing or two about making an award-winning music video.

Over the weekend, she revealed that she’s hired the services of Miss Sparkle (the official “Scandal” hair stylist), celebrity makeup artist, Mattie Wagner, celebrity stylist Sarah, and a director that’s directed some of the biggest videos in Hollywood (including artists like Chris Brown, Wale, Tank and more).

This power team has been in charged with making sure Rachel’s “Nguvu” video is at par with greatest videos made in Hollywood as they shoot it this weekend.

A noticeably Rachel wrote;

Chocolate City signee Victoria Kimani was recently in Bongoland for one of the biggest events in Tanzania the Nyama Choma festival.

Unknown to her, a surprise was waiting for her as one of the DJs proposed to her right after she took to the stage. The lass tried on the ring before rejecting it jokingly as it was too big and then asked the DJ to propose to one of the girls in the crowd.

According to a reveler at the event,the proposal seemed  like a mock proposal and shouldn’t be taken seriously.We called Victoria for confirmation but she claimed that that was a wrong  number despite the fact that her voice is quite distinctive and True caller revealed that the number was indeed hers

As if being kicked out of Ogopa Deejays wasn’t enough stress to bear, singer Colonel Mustapha has most recently come under fire from female celebs and women activists for his ‘bad behaviour’.

It is Coast-based songbird, Nyota Ndogo that set the ball rolling when she hit out at the singer for ‘not acting his age’. Nyota Ndogo was relentless in putting Mustapha in his place and even went as far as doing it on national radio! But that was nothing compared to her weekend antics.

In came Huddah who was reportedly in a romantic relationship with the ‘Lenga Stress’ hit-maker. The BBA-Chase- contestant decided to make public her ‘secrets’ with the singer and no one could stop her even Mustapha himself. A jilted Huddah even bolted out of a track she was meant to release with Mustapha and threatened to take legal action if the song was ever going to leave the confines of the studio.

And just as Mustapha was about to take a breather from all this mess, it all started once again! This time, Nyota Ndogo, marshaled a group of women from Voi and held a demonstration on the street of the town protesting Mustapha’s “objectification of women” holding photos of the singer with half-nude Huddah.

However, Mustapha has decided to put all that behind him and concentrate on his career. Over the weekend, he was at the Mount Kenya University (MKU) where he staged one of best performances that will be etched in their memory for a long time.

On average, it takes a new mother just as many months to take off the baby weight as it does to put it on. However, it’s pretty apparent that celeb moms bounce back from pregnancy faster than the average woman.

But while some claim to have it “in their genes”, there are others who proudly accept the fact that they had to struggle to achieve their fit physique; because people struggle for years, and never fully regain their figure, but it seems like celebs just spring back.

I’m not sure which one worked for celebrated musician, Wahu, though, because Mrs. Mathenge is just about to make headlines with how quickly she bounced back to her normal toned figure in just under a year!

Two years on, Mc Alex boasts of Karaoke gigs at some of Mombasa’s biggest clubs among them Kendaz, Club Lunah, Leopold Ukunda, Shakilas Pub, Bellavista and Simba Sports Club in Mombasa.

For the cynics karaoke actually pays as MC Alex has managed to start several businesses among them running a fleet of tuk-tuks. In addition to his business, he also owns an entertainment company called

VK Entertainment that is slated to be the next big thing. The karaoke host informed us that his future is pretty bright so we should expect more from him such as bigger and better projects

Earlier in the day, I reported about a demonstration held by women against Colonel Moustapha. But it has since emerged that the entire demonstration was organized by Nyota Ndogo and was her way of showing displeasure at the pictures Colonel Moustapha had allegedly leaked of him and Huddah in compromising positions.

Mzazi Willy M. Tuva called up Colonel Moustapha who apologized to the women folk of the land saying he never meant to offend them and what happened was unfortunate. During the phone call conversation, Moustapha said, “Ninawaomba msamaha kwasababu ni lazima tu-respect wamama.“

Two weeks ago, Kenya’s hip-hop first lady, Nazizi, shocked the world when she announced that she’s parting ways with her Tanzanian born-husband and baby’s son, Vini Hamza Leopold.

However, speaking for the first time about her divorce on #TheTrend last Saturday, the ‘Jump n Shout’ hit-maker revealed that she’s been separated from Vini for one year now and has even got her divorce following the Islamic practice – Talaq.

“It’s been a year since I’ve been separated. It’s just been two weeks since I announced it”, revealed Nazizi adding, “I went through my healing. It wasn’t easy for me; it was really difficult because I never really imagined after 5 years…it was kind of hard for me to go through this by myself on the island. I had a couple of months to accept this and the healing.”

But what really led to her divorce? She says;

“First, we had a lot of issues when it came to being in the same place at the same time. So if I wasn’t performing and I was home then he wasn’t home. And one time it was a very long period of time and we didn’t see each other and we thought, look, is this really working for both of us in our lives right now? And I thought maybe a separation then we decide what we want to do because we all love our son so much, nobody wanted let go because of him.”

Nonetheless, Nazizi insists that she’s still friends with her ex-husband. She reveals that he takes their son over the holidays, make decision together and still talk to each other all the time.

Sold out concerts are unheard of in Kenya, if anything promoters burn out just trying to get guys to buy tickets. However, as Jaguar got to find out, it’s a totally different script out of the country.

Over the weekend, the recording and performing artist was in Burundi for a performance and I highly doubt he had any fears that his concert would take a nose-dive because Burundians came out in their thousands for his concert at Efi Nyakabiga Stadium.

Apparently, tickets for Jaguar’s show sold out in a few days. All of the tickets. Completely. The rabid and bloodthirsty the fans came out to witness the talented singer do his thing.

Celebs are just like us! Ok, maybe not, because they’re rich and famous. But when it comes to baby nursing, they also nurse their babies! No matter how many millions you make you can’t pay someone else to do it, no matter how.

Well, newest celebrity mom, Wahu, has always been candid about her choice to breastfeed. Through her blog, Baby Love network, she has been sharing the rewards and challenges of nursing her young Nyakio.

Over the weekend, she revealed how she’s been forcing her baby to breastfeed and she even thinks she should be referred to as “Wahu the Forcer”. Here’s why;

I should acquire a new title I think. “Wahu the forcer” seems quite befitting, because for the last couple of days everything else has fallen secondary to me “forcing myself” onto my Nyakio.  The thing is, this little girl had decided that she wanted to wave bye bye to our breastfeeding experience, for whatever reason. Some people told me that some babies are just like that, but I tended to believe it had a lot to do with my reduced milk supply – what with going back to my hectic schedule and all;  I wasn’t going to hang up my breast feeding bra without a good solid fight,  so, for the last three weeks, every moment I’ve had, I’ve been “fighting” with her to feed from the breast, topping up with formula when she never had fill.

Trust me, I found out breast feeding positions that I’m sure don’t exist on paper! 😀 but guess what, at the end of the day, we are back on!!!… Halleluya! Guess what else is back on…the few kgs I had managed to lose over the last couple of months :-/ I’m not going to blame her for this though. When I stopped working out, I really should have been watching what I ate; yea, I wasn’t too keen on that, but that’s not stressing me too much right now.

Here’s another thing that I realized had been interfering with my milk production, and hence contributing to Nyakio’s refusal to breastfeed; my breast pump had a suction problem! I thought that the suction pressure had reduced because there wasn’t much to “suck” (don’t ask me how that logic came about) until I saw an ever so slight tear on the pump’s suction valve. A quick replacement of this part has done wonders to my milk supply, and I’m now even back to expressing. Only this time, we are using the expressed milk in the cause of the day to ease digestion during weaning . (Yes we have been weaning for the last 6.5 weeks, but that’s a story for another day!)

For now, I’m just happy to re-establish breastfeeding and let my little Nyakio enjoy the full benefits of mummy’s nutritious milk!

So for anybody who’s baby has stopped breastfeeding much sooner than you expected, it could be that that’s just baby’s nature. But it could also very well be that you need to take some time off and be the “forcer mummy”
