Top 9 Hottest Photos Of Victoria Kimani

Victoria Kimani is without a doubt one of the most gifted artistes we have around. Her singles Oya, which featured label mate M.I, as well as Whoa, Prokoto and M’toto have earned her the crown of Africa’s pop diva.

But it is not only her voice that is catching our attention, her exceptional fashion sense has also established her as a trendsetter who is constantly setting and raising the fashion bar.
Victoria did not disappoint during a recent photo shoot where she rocked pieces from Kapotea by Ambica and had her make-up done by the exceptional Muthoni Njoba. The photos were taken by brilliant photographer BoyOnTheLedge

Here Is Proof That The French Love Lupita Nyong’o (Photos)

2014 is certainly Lupita’s year there is no doubt about that. This year saw Lupita win a SAG award, an Oscar award BET award, MAMA award, get a deal with fashion house Miu Miu, secure a contract with Lancome and graced the cover of vogue.

I could go on and on about Lupita’s 2014 milestones.
And her latest feat is equally impressive. Dressed in canary yellow, asymmetric Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown  Lupita proves that her reign just won’t let up.

Here is the 31 year old 12 years a slave actress showing off her great skin in this month’s cover of Elle Magazine, France.

Jeff Koinange Reveals How He & His Wife Struggled to Get a Child for 9 Years before Resorting to an Artificial Method

Like any other normal couple, celebrities too struggle with infertility at times. And it’s not just everyday couples who undergo fertility treatment after struggling to conceive – high-profile celebrities chose to use IVF to become parents too.

Celebrated and multi-award winning TV journalist, Jeff Koinange and his wife, Shaila Koinange, did struggle for years to conceive. For 9 years, the couple struggled with infertility but used fertility treatments and welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby boy.

For the first time, Jeff spoke about his struggle with infertility and how he and his wife had trouble conceiving naturally and resorted to undergoing IVF treatment or artificial insemination. Because of their high profile careers and a stigma about artificial pregnancies, celebs often keep their problems with fertility, miscarriages, and IVF treatments a secret.

Last Friday, however, Jeff opened up on live TV about using IVF treatments and procedures to get a child.

Jeff, his son Mbiyu & wife, Shaila when they met Nelson Mandela

“This story is not unique. In fact I ran into someone at Java on Valley Arcade and said, ‘What happened to you and your wife happened to me’”, explains Jeff adding, “Across Africa, I know a lot of couples who have had difficulties getting children, have gone through the stages probably similar to ours. Have tried many times and almost gave up even with IVF but hopefully I can give hope to people who have never heard of IVF…and maybe childless couples out there can go for that. It is personal but hopefully it can help people!”

This, Jeff expounds on in his new autobiography, Through My African Eyes, so grab your copy at TextBook Centre for only KES3000.

Huddah Monroe Fires Manager,Trouble Brews After

Huddah Monroe is without a doubt one of the most popular girls around, her controversial photos ,bad ass attitude and and being a straight shooter has earned her hordes and hordes of fans especially on Social Media.

News reaching us is that her manager has taken ownership of her Facebook page after his contract was terminated

In an email sent to us Huddah told us that:

I fired my manager and the nigg** changed my Facebook passwords and is currently  threatening to sue me because I terminated the contract lol! I’m still in shock.

He wasn’t bringing any business and since he told me that we are signing the contract coz he got mad businesses I signed it. 6 months later nothing was going on. So I decided to write a termination contract that he has even refused to sign. He just removed me from FB as the admin. So I am no longer on FB. People will be sending messages on my FB and someone else is reading them and replying. That’s risky.

I told him to change my name on FB and delete my pictures. He just went MIA. My only issue is my FB that has my name on it, 70,000 likes and someone else owning  it, It’s just sad and  people keep asking me why I don’t reply to their messages on FB.

Julie Gichuru Valiantly Exposes ‘Sunday Nation’ Writer

Many times yellow journalism creeps into the newsroom so that “gazeti iuze”. Certain scribes might stretch the truth or even fabricate an entire story. So, this happened yesterday only that it happened to the wrong person – Julie Gichuru.

As expected, the celebrated anchor has fought back exposing a writer who interviewed but stretched the truth a bit to make the story succulent. Here’s what happened;

An open letter on Media Accuracy:

Ref: Sunday Nation Lifestyle Magazine, July 20th, pg 5

I appreciate that the Sunday Nation Lifestyle Magazine decided to do a piece on me however I am concerned at the distortion of the first question in the article. Thankfully, due to my experience with print media, I always opt to conduct interviews on email to avoid any inaccuracies. My caution was certainly in order as illustrated by this incident.

Truth be told, it would have been a lovely piece if the writer had avoided the temptation to omit critical facts and to distort and falsify the first question, coming up with the narrative that I quit law school to study journalism. Two small problems: I did not quit law school and I did not study journalism.

I highlight this because it is a frightening example of what can go wrong so easily with media. The answers were all there. But somehow it wasn’t exciting enough and the narrative was changed.

I am lucky that I have a voice that is amplified due to my presence in the media, but what happens to so many who don’t?

Frightening stuff.

——

Sunday Nation Lifestyle Interview with Julie Gichuru titled “I quit law school to become a journalist” (which happen to be words that I never uttered)

The actual question & answer:
Qtn 25. From the records, at a tender age of 10, you wanted to be a criminal lawyer, what happened?
I studied law and found that in principle I disagreed with most of the laws on Evidence. I felt they were skewed and inequitable. I had a greater love and passion for commercial law. It was unexpected but I adapted.

Julie_Gichuru.jpg

The amended & published question & answer that appeared as question 1 and the focus of the interview:
Q: Did you always want to be a journalist?
I studied law and found that in principle I disagreed with most of the laws on evidence. I felt they were skewed and inequitable. So I dropped out to pursue a degree in journalism.

=========

In an earlier question The issue of educational background had already been addressed:

Qtn 11. What do you consider as the biggest career decision you ever have made?
I have made several big career decisions and each of them proved to be a huge factor in my growth both in career and also on knowledge.
The first was to move from my initial career path… I studied Law and then did an MBA with a focus on World Trade Law and International Business, but I ended up in media.

Dear Nation Media Group,

What remedy do we have in situations like this?

Something Very Outstanding You Don’t Know about Crossover 101’s Gorgeous Faith Muturi

Did you know that for the past 6 years, the beautiful CrossOver host has been running Simama Outreach Trust? This is a mentorship program based in Majengo slums which addresses issues young people face such as drugs and alcohol abuse, prostitution, unemployment and peer education.

Unemployment being the biggest issue facing the Youth in Kenya, she & her team have decided to be the solution. They went to the University in South Eastern Kenya University with various professionals. They are aware about unemployability- whereby employers claim that Generation Y are educated yet ill equipped for the workplace. Also, research shows that 70% of start-up businesses fail in their 1st year.

Professionals from  Human Resource Management, Administration, IT, Counselling, Writing, Education, Agriculture, Business & Aviation facilitated group sessions, painting the picture on what it really takes to thrive in the respective careers.

This will followed up by an electrifying concert in conjunction with System Unit. Willy Paul, Dk Mwenye beat, Size 8, Hope kid & Benachi who gave outstanding performances. Top Hype man MC Njugush & Dj Mo kept the crowd on their feet.

Faith_Muturi_2.jpg

Overall feedback at the end of the day was that it was fun & there was a vast willingness to learn. The students felt that their questions were addressed. They were ecstatic as this was the biggest youth-centred event ever held on the school.

This is clearly a start of something amazing; the start of a revolution. Who knows, they may be visiting your school next!’

Singer Wahu on the Day She Met Nameless (Photo)

Unlike what they tell you in those sappy romantic comedies, you will not crash into your spouse who will then help you lift your books before you gaze into each other’s eyes and everything moves in slow motion. You could meet your spouse in a very simple way, such as Wahu.

She shared this photo whose caption explained how she met her beau:

I was just 18…..young & single & _____having a party…..nothing serious was on my mind, that’s when I met him….tall & handsome & lovely, a smile like an angel, had a sparkle down in his eyes….etc etc etc (guess which song!) cheers guys.

Read and Weep: This KTN Screen Siren Is Off the Market. Here Is Her Lovely Ring (Photos)

After Betty Kyallo and Janet Mbugua got engaged the latest to leave the shelf is KTN’s pretty petite news anchor Yvonne Okwara.

If you have looked at this month’s cover of True Love magazine, someone has already put a ring on her.

yvonne.jpg

Speaking to Judith Mwobobia of True Love Magazine, Yvonne revealed that she was in fact engaged and the ring was not for show. But not to Dennis Itumbi as the rumors claim.

She first confirmed she didn’t date Dennis and has only interviewed him on TV and she was engaged to a man in the medical profession whom she has dated in a while.

TRUE_LOVE_YVONNE.jpg

Now let’s have  a closer look at the ring

We are marching into an new era in KE. Where citizens have a voice & their interests come first. Left, right, left, right….

Shaddique Shabaan former KTN news anchor decided to intervene, but he was no match for the anonymous and hilarious (at least on my part )hacker

WHOEVER hacked @kdfinfo and @MajorEChirchir accounts should surrender, seek amnesty and find job as an ethical hacker. #PositiveHacking

The hacker then replied

Proud Daddy: Shaffie Weru Shows Off His Two kids (Photos)

Any man can help create a child but it takes a real man to love, cherish and raise one,so i tip my hat to all the fathers who have been there for their kids biological or not.

Kenya’s self confessed bad boy is one of the good daddies who go out of their way to ensure that his kids are happy, biological or not. He may be separated from Debbie Asila but he does not slack off when it comes to taking care of their beautiful daughter Milan.

He also treats his current wife’s son very well and the boy seems happy as you can tell from the photo collage below.Shaffie shared this photo with the simple caption #proudestfatherever

Kenyan Dancehall Just Got Better Thanks to This Teen Sensation

Kenyan teen sensation “Mishu” is set to take over Kenya’s dancehall scene upon the release of her brand new record “Downtown” produced by Washroom Entertainment.

In her new track Mishu whose real name is Michelle Ngugi seeks to bring to the fore escapades of a young girl from a well to do background “Uptown” who fancies a boy from the other side of town “Downtown” but her mother and the people around her won’t let her because he is from downtown.

This is the second major project from the 17 year old songstress who is a GCE student at Aga Khan High School after the release “Irie” a dancehall track she featured in. Mishu has a bias to reggae and dancehall due to its uniqueness as a genre and that it addresses the societal issues that relate to what people go through every day.

Her reggae influence came about after she interacted with a Rastafarian friend from Grenada, Michael Campbell who she says opened the doors to the world of consciousness for her, “he made me see my with the first eye as opposed to my two naked eyes” she says.

The talented vocalist is a member of Dreamville, a music group made up of two other artists Web and R.H. with whom they have recorded lots of music. Mishu has sampled Samantha Jay’s “Tight Up Skirt”.

NTV #TheTrend: Fat-Shaming Saturday Nation Writer Defends Her Claim That Women’s ‘Fat’ and Laziness Drives Men To Cheat

Move over Vera Sidika, Njoki Chege in now on the line of fire. For those who are not aware, Njoki Chege is a female blogger who fervently claimed that men cheat because ‘ a lot of married women are fat unstylish nags’.

This article has struck a raw nerve with women everywhere even the ones who are yet to battle major weight gain. Many women were of the opinion that this article was poorly researched and was insulting even earning NJoki Chege the title of ‘woman slayer’.
I am of the opinion that cheating is a choice, yes men are visual creatures and want their women to have banging bodies but I still insist cheating is a choice. And you cannot really judge someone unless you have walked down their path.

Njoki was recently on the trend to explain her stance and I have to admit for someone who was ballsy in her writing,  Wanjiku Wanderi certainly owned her on her own interview.

KTN & NTV Bosses Reveal why “They Gave Saba Saba Rally Media Blackout”

Media owners have dismissed opposition’s allegations that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, with the help of security chiefs, coerced them to give Saba Saba rally a media blackout.

Speaking last week, Chairman of the Media Owners Association Sam Shollei and Editors Guild counterpart, Linus Kaikai, absolved Media Houses from blame saying CORD is to blame for the media blackout on Saba Saba.

They said CORD did not request the media to cover his Saba Saba rally at Uhuru Park and
as such they could not do it without CORD’s permission.

Besides, Kaikai and Shollei denied there ever being a media blackout on Saba Saba in the first place because the event was covered widely by the print media and afternoon bulletins.

“There was no media blackout on the event at Uhuru Park, as the rally was widely covered by print media and given airtime during the afternoon bulletins. The decision not to air the event live was taken by the media owners and there was no coercion. There was no requirement or request for the continuous live coverage by CORD,” said Kaikai.

They were speaking when media owners, editors and parliamentary reporters met Parliament officials last week.
